Hello from Oklahoma and thanks for allowing me to be a part of the community. I’ve been looking for a place that was strictly Ovation Guitars and after much searching and time on other websites, I wholeheartedly agree in the statement on the home page: "Ovation Guitars really don't get the respect they deserve!”

I’m a 63 year old novice guitar player having played off and on since I was 17. Last year I opened the cases on two of my guitars (Ovation Ultra and Yamaha) and said to myself that it is time to put some serious effort in learning to play. This I have done and very much enjoy doing daily now.

I purchased my first Ovation guitar (Ultra Series #1312) in Keflavik Iceland around 1989 while stationed there in the Air Force and still have it today. I have four guitars now, three Ovations and my very first guitar, a Yamaha that I bought back around 1977. That Ultra is my go-to guitar. I love the way it plays and sounds. As Ovations are pure eye candy to me, I have recently purchased and traded for two acoustic electric Ovations, a Standard Balladeer 2771AX and a 1528. Both of these guitars are in beautiful condition, but the Balladeer has a couple of small issues that I will post on later after I’ve done a little more research.

I have much to learn in regards to the Ovation story and their Guitars, however after some reading here, I finally feel like I’m in the right place to do that. Thanks again for having me!

John
