In the Welcome Center there's a post regarding a 1982 Legend with an interesting finish. If you look at this catalog from that same time, you'll find that finish on an anniversary Legend http://ovationtribute.com/Catalogues/1976%20awards/1976%20awards.ht...

The Legend in question may have been a custom job for somebody at the factory or just a "one off"? It's color (if I'm reading the catalog correctly, is -7 or "Antique Brown".......

That's actually my guitar - the guy I bought it from had no idea of the history. It may be a 4P color.  I'd love to know whether that was a special order!

I'll disagree with everyone here (from what I've seen). It's my belief that this is red, or color code '2'. Check out my '76 Custom Balladeer. Though in this photo it appears slightly more red than it is in person, this is the same color.

You've seen my -7 Nutmeg Legend, Paul. It's very similar to the 76 collectors brown.

1982. It was a custom order but -7 was a listed color option at the time.
