Location: GATLINBURG TENNESSEE :) | Hey Guys, Sometime back I purchased a VIP unit and installed it in my 1537. The only problem is that I don’t really know which Microphone Sets came with this particular unit. Does anyone know if there is some kind of identification number that tells which VIP unit this is and therefore which mic sets it has? I went back and looked at previous threads which identify the various mic simulations, but like I said… I don’t know which guitar this VIP was set up for.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. |

Location: Utah | My 2080 has a sticker on both the can in the guitar and on the preamp module that say "SET 4". I believe each model that comes with the VIP was intended to have a specific programming where they recorded that model guitar with those specific mics. So, SET 4 would be the 2080 recorded with whichever mics they say in the literature.
If yours has a sticker on it then I'm sure you can find out which set is which guitar and mic set were used in the modeling. Since they didn't do the VIP for the 1537 you're getting something different, but at least you could identify which guitar and which mics generating the digital model. |

We're so busy with retirement we can't figure out how we ever had jobs. There's no way we're going back to work. |
