Location: CA | It's a NOS 1868-X built in 1992 still in the original box - at least so says the ad. Also says could be #2 of only 6 made, which the label suggests is accurate.
It's an exquisite guitar — I love the bearclaw and '3D' epaulets, but sadly can't afford it.
Being offered for $2,650obo on Reverb.com under 'Ovation 1868-X'.

Location: When?? | That's a real looker for sure. Very pretty. 30-year NOS is the interesting part. It would seem that a lot could depend on how/where it has been stored for that long in terms of its ultimate physical characteristics and newness longevity once it acclimates to its next environment and gets handled on a regular basis. I mean, my grandma looked fantastic at 85.. but she couldn't dance. |

Location: SoCal | Do a google search for the Ovation 1992 Collectors. It's the same basic guitar with a different top wood and fingerboard wood (spruce / rosewood vs. tamo ash / walnut).
Love the top on the above guitar in this thread, but have always thought that the epi's were some of the most ugly I have ever seen......
