I just sent my check in. I'll be going solo so I'm looking for someone to share a room with.

Anybody interested?

Blues Sailor (Brad) contacted me and it looks like we'll be sharing a room at the Hampton Inn.

MusicMike: If that falls thru, I'll take you up on sharing space in the Miami room.

Mike and Jim? What do you think? That would make a pretty reasonable nightly rate for everyone.

That will be fine with me. We also have TraderJIm who committed today that is going to stay with us. Five people and five beds, not a problem here, heck when I was in jai....uh, never mind.

I still refuse to let Music baptize me in the jacuzzi. I hate bubbles in my nose. He can practice on someone else.

When do we start talkin bout going golfin?

Wabbit, we are coming thru JAX on Wednesday. Do you have flight plans yet?

Sounds, uh... cozy. And probably fun.
Randy, if everyone's agreed I'm ok with it.

Jim, I have have more options if I come in Wednesday, all about $120 cheaper than the redeye that gets me there Thursday morning.
Do you have any idea what time you're coming by JAX?

Thanks, Mike, sounds like a plan.

Randy, with 4 it's still about half of what we would have spent on the Fernandina suite.

Ok, we're set for Wed - Sat night for the Miami room at the Florida Inn: 4 persons @ $47.25 + tax per night! Cool! One king + 2 twin trundels...it says it sleeps 6 to 7 and has 5 beds...not sure how they add this up...but we'll work it out... :D  :D

The trundles should actually be 2 beds each, one slides out from under the other. Hopefully they're not counting the crib.

Not that it matters that much, but I believe the rate goes up for the weekend nights, about $5/person.

So am I safe in canceling my res for the suite, Randy?

Wabbit, it's a go from this end. Bring a few sets of earplugs (my wife is worried about this for some reason), I have never personally heard myself snore. Y'all can always put me out on the roof, or drink enough of your favorite beverage so that it won't matter.

As to the bed situation, I will bring some tools in case some unassembly is required.

My wife and I stayed in that "attic" room last year for a few days prior to bunking with Al (me not her). It's an interesting room. First round is on me if you can find it without directions. It has (had) a king bed and two singles. The singles each have a pullout under them. The bathroom was pretty nice. I don't know about the crib. Dave

But think 'bout the chili dogs they taped to the radiator when they left home - they'll just be nicely cooked when you guys climb in.

Cliff, how long is your plane flight?
Mine's 5 1/2 hours. I plan on consuming lots and lots of peanuts and Coke. Maybe some burritos on my layover in ATL.

I can defend myself.

Possum? Hey, this is the south...if we run over anything on the way down, it'd probably be a skunk! Been there, done that, don't wanna do it again......

Instead we plan to be jammin', crusin', and sippin': Blenheim's Baby!
Right Jimbo?

Yeah, we have way more skunks than possum up here's too... I pass 2 or 3 every morning that didn't make it across the road the night before.

Mike and Jim - thanks for the ride! Should make an already interesting week even more so!

Believe me, I was cured of that from the beginning...meaning the cradle...played a few supper clubs in the late 70's in the upper midwest...supposed to be a requirement to play there (playing polka...nope: I wouldn't do it! Blamed the booking agent for misbooking us...Finished the gig, got paid and never looked back...never wanted too either...
Polka...ugh: quick, bring me a Pepto or Alka Seltzer

Just give me "Blues" anytime...anywhere
