In have early stage Parkinson's disease. Fortunately it hasn't affected my playing that much, but I have trouble using tools. I've adjusted O's with a TR cover on the headstock, and gone in through a regulation sound hole. But I've never adjusted a guitar with epaulets and a double truss rod, and that "manhole cover" on the bowl looks intimidating.

Thoughts or suggestions?

While I've never had occasion to work on one, the LX series used a double TR.

Simply put, the double TR allows you to push or pull the neck to adjust the relief. A single TR only pulls the neck.

The manhole cover is just a machine screw that connects to a four-fingered sheet metal 'clamp'. Loosening the screw will allow you to slip the manhole cover off to the side.

Here's a video our Old Man Arthur did that demonstrates how to remove it and reinstall it.
