Guitar Center shareholders have apparently approved the sale of the company to a private equity firm for $63/share. I'd voted against simply because it excludes small investors (like me/us) from participating in any future gains in the company (which I think still has a lot of growth potential).

Marketwatch on GTRC sale approval

It's not clear what this will mean for customers, but the CEO was in favor of the sale apparently due to not being able to get the cooperation of the board in some issues for setting future direction. Moving the company to private ownership allows them to replace/dissolve the board.

With good luck it'll be good for customers in the future. I hope that's how it turns out.

That's interesting, I'd never looked at their stock before. Apparently most of the business is aircraft/helicopter/aerospace parts, the musical instruments thing barely shows up in the analysis. Looks like the aerospace part of the business is doing well, though.
