| Hey everybody,
I recently inherited a cc54i celebrity with the iDea preamp. Only trouble is the preamp is missing, so I need one. I'm not interested in the mp3 recording capability, and I just want something basic as long as it sounds good. I haven't been able to determine if the iDea is the only compatible replacement, even by reaching out to Ovation directly on FB and email.
I have found one thread here indicating the OP20 works and possibly others but nothing definitive. Any preamp experts on here? TIA | |

Location: Keepin' It Weird in Portland, OR | You will have to replace the "Can" that holds the preamp.
That is if you have that 'can' in place.
So... If you can find a whole kit with the Can and the Preamp model, you can put anything in there.
OP-10, OP-20, OP-30, OP-40 or 50, or any of the OP-Pro preamp.
Just be sure that you have the Can and the Preamp in whatever you buy.

I don't know this seller, but he/she lists a lot of Ovation stuff.
