Hi everyone,

Hope you're all doing well. As I am in love with my Classic 1613, I've come to the decision of adding a Folklore but couldn't find one on the used market. Are they really that good? Nobody seems to want to get rid of them and here in Italy it seems to be even more difficult.

I keep my eyes on the usual ebay, reverb and local ads but nothing happens.

What are your thoughts about these beauties?

I think you are asking about the 1614 Folklore, right? The 1613 is the classical, you are loving right now.
The 1614 is a wonderful guitar for fingerpicking. If you are coming from the classical side, that would be a great guitar for you with steel strings.
But the newer ones are very good as well. All of them are hard to come by. My favorite is the 2774-LX, or the FD14, which is the top of the Folklore guitars....

Where do you live in Italy?

Hi Bernie,
Thanks for chiming in. Yes indeed, I was referring to the 1614 Folklore, it is a typo. I do know that there are modern reiterations of the Folklore but I find the old ones more attractive for whatever reasons and they are really rare in the used market.

I live in Rome, I've come back two years ago after several years spent in Paris, France.
