Location: SoCal | Recently acquired a 5869 for my son who likes my 5869-5p custom legend. The look to be the exact same guitar except the model numbers are different. Attaching photos. Just a change in the factory? The -5P Custom Legend is a later serial number.
Just bought 5869 serial 447453
Already had 5869-5P Custom Legend 449891
Also interesting that the serial number guides list these as 1992 but they are always listed as 1993 models.
Any insight is appreciated.

Location: SoCal | Right, but both guitars are identicle. Same -5p finish just very different nominclature as noted. Serial numbers are in the right range for both. Wondering if a little later in production they were clearer about what it was on the label (the more complete model info is on the later serial number).
