@Sparker000. - >>>Or is it just another in the thousands of them out there?<<<

A good condition 1667 is definitely above the center line of the "thousands of them out there".

My 1677 (mid bowl) is one of my favorites, Sparker000. Same guitar/era, different depth bowl.
Thanks, PM for bringing this over here. Sometimes I see questions languish over in the welcome area and didn't think of responding here.

Jm, we can all learn something by helping somebody in their quest for info. For whatever reason, I thought that the cutaways didn't make an appearance until 1983 or so. Also, I would assume that your 1677 is what the Glen Campbell model became. And also, an 1/8" deeper bowl than the GC model. That slightly deeper bowl is what my 2006 GC RI is based on.

I also want to add that the early 80's were a great time for Ovations. The spruce they used and what they built made for wonderful guitars.

I ordered the 1677 early in '82. One of the first pieced-together cutaways. You and I have talked about this guitar for so long now, PM... still hope to see it in your lap one day.
