With the wide ranging demographic of this board, I'm hoping someone will know what I'm talking about.

When I lived in London, I vaguely remember watching the 1926 classic 'Metropolis' (Fritz Lang) and it had a Pink Floyd soundtrack. I remember being blown away by the experience and I know I'm not imagining it, coz my wife remembers watching it too. I've been searching the web, but all I can find is references to 'synching' certain movies with certain CDs - (ala Dark Side of the Moon and Wizard of Oz)

Has anyone else seen this version? What should I be searching for?

I have two VHS versions, one silent, and one that was released in the early 80s with a modern soundtrack. I don't think it was exclusively Pink Floyd though; seems as though it was many different artists and I don't recall who was on it. One thing I noticed was that one version is listed as being a few minutes longer than the other.... probably of no consequence.

You can probably do an ebay search; I'm sure there are plenty copies out there.

Metropolis Worker Revolt

That's all I could find on YouTube, I hope you don't have dial-up.

I've seen both the original and the 1980's version dubbed with a rock soundtrack....

Not that I know of, but there are various "recipes" online describing how t'do it (I think it has something t'do with starting the CD on the second "roar" of the MGM lion . . something like that . . .)
