Mr. Pine was highly respected in Japan. His passing was front page in the entertainment section of Japan Today. May his soul rest in peace.

This is sad news. He's one of my favourite songwriters and one of the best live performers I've ever seen. He had strong links to Ireland and his shows always sold out here. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam (May his soul be seated on God's right hand)

I'm very sad to hear this news. His song 'Grandpa was a Carpenter' was a regular on my set list.

Another great song writer and musician has left us.
