Location: Phoenix AZ		I have a (almost) set of Ovation/Airlocks. I am missing a few of the smallest ones but there is more than enough to buster one side, and then some. See photo below.

What is the purpose of airlocks??


The airlocks give the guitar a warmer sound by blocking the airflow through the epaulet holes, thus increasing the temperature of the air inside the guitar body. Hence the term "warmer" sounding.
