Hi all.
I was wondering if you guys might know what the fingerboard radius is, like on a 1117 or 1157 from the 70's "A Braced"

From my research it's 10" or 10.4?

I have no way of measuring and also was wondering if the radius is tapered?
Thanks in advance.

Wyatt

I've always read that it's 10". If you want to know for sure, Stewmac sells radius gauges that will allow you to measure it directly.

To my knowledge the fretboard radius is not tapered.

It is supposed to be 10". There has been some variability on guitars I have refretted or fret sanded. It is quite possible the variation were caused by previous fret work or maybe changes in the wood over the decades.

Also, none were tapered and I've never seen any claim Ovation tapered radius on any guitar.
