| Hi,all. I've owned the same Ovation since 1981. Bought from new in London ,Model 1617, serial 250939, cherry burst colour (I think, unless there"s another similar shade). I've always understood it"s a custom legend but it has no cutaway and the volume/tone knob is situated near the neck rather than near the battery screw halfway down the body. Can someone help me be certain what model I have? I"ve tried all kinds of other accoustic guitars over the years and in my opinion nothing matche's the tone, the projection and playability of this great instrument. It has a few very minor issues and hasn't seen much use recently but I plan to get it back in top shape and enjoy playing it again. Any information would be much appreciated. Thanks, Nigel. | |

You seem to know what you have.
No cutaway on a 1617.
Just an old Legend with a pickup.
