In 2004 Ovation built a limited number of old style Custom Legends to commemorate the 30th anniversary of the first one built (for Paul McCartney). This guitar harkens back to the glory days of Ovation, but it has the modern build improvements of the current models -- deep bowl, OP Pro preamp, 1/4" and XLR output jacks, and the advanced neck system (new for 2004 in the LX models). It's like the original --- but better! Sounds wonderful.
It has a bearclaw spruce top that is stunning. There are no flaws to this guitar, no blemishes, no dings.
For $1500, in the continental US, I'll cover shipping. If you make me an offer below that then shipping is up to you.
Comes with the original hardshell case. If you're interested, email me at pmoody dot pi at gmail dot com

Location: Gardnerville, NV | For me personally, the best looking guitar Ovation ever made. I wanted one so bad in '76, but I just couldn't afford one. When this one came out in 2004, I was much better off financially so I grabbed one. About 18 months ago, I found an older 12 fret match and I love them both.

Location: SoCal | We all have our Ovation favorites, some played on the road, open mike, studio, blue grass, or church, some end up on the wall, some for sale or trade, etc.
My favorite is the 1719-30CM. He is offering a very excellent guitar at an excellent price.

A 12-string like that is among my dream guitars for sure (though I compensated with a 12-fret 12-string Guild Orpheum). |

I've got a few CL's myself otherwise I'd be all over this one. Stranger things have happened, but I doubt you'll see USA made CL's like this in the future. |

Location: SoCal | Nope. Got a family heirloom, a 1914 Martin OO18 that needs a neck reset, fret job, new bridge and who knows what else. The cash is ready and it's time to get that guitar back in really good playable condition for the next 105 years.
