Scoring a movie like this is a real big deal! We could be talking oscars here! This has the potential of moving Kaki into the big leagues. Wow! Popcritic, why don't you tell us?
A blurb from her newsletter:
King’s music also can be heard throughout the acclaimed Sean Penn movie, “Into The Wild,” which she co-scored with Pearl Jam’s Eddie Vedder and composer Michael Brook.
Problem is this man against nature thing ain't my wife's bag. Looks like I'll have to go during lunch. |

Location: atlanta | Guys, I'd be lying if I said these aren't exciting developments for her. Into the Wild is just being released in the U.S., and their website is now updated:

She contributed previously recorded material as well as original intrumentals written specifically for the film. She worked with Sean Penn and the producers on the final edits to the music. A lot of what she did can be heard as "cues", brief improvised transitions between scenes. So far the movie has been very well received by most media reviewers.
Jeff is correct about the other movie, August Rush (out on 11/21). When you "enter the site" at the movie's website, the opening music is her!

She's come a long way in her career, and I want to take this opportunity to thank the entire OFC and the Kaman Company without whose support she could never have succeeded.
Heartfelt thanks to everybody--

With her talent, she'd have made it even if she played a Taylor.
I'm just proud that she's 'one of us'. :)
[Edit] Oops, I just re-read your post and I noticed that you said COULD not WOULD! |
