you remember this thread you opened?
Adamas w/o Epaulets
Okay, now it's done - I did as you told: Changed the OP50 to a Op Pro Studio and installed a black saddle and nut.
I hope you are pleased by the result - and by your german trainee.

Hey, what was the name of the guitar shop you said I should visit in Frankfurt? I am still planning to visit my daughter in Weisbatten in December. |

Location: Munich, Germany | Hi Vince,
the shop is Musik Schmidt .
I have never been there, but bought four new Ovations/Adamas online.
But Karl has been there and he was overwhelmed by the big variety of high priced guitars they have stored. Maybe he will chime in - he took some pictures in the store - and, to be true, I have never seen that many guitars, that many brands, even in the high range on stock.

Location: Germany | Kurt, very well done! Soundwise I never liked the W597 unless I played yours at the EurOFC. Also the look was stunning and now has even improved with your latest additons.
Nothing to add to what Kurt said about "Musik Schmidt". Vince, you should definitely go there, you won't regret. I'm quite sure there is no other store in Europe (maybe worldwide) with a comparable selection of Ovations and other major brands.
Karl
PS. If your track should lead you to Bavaria don't hesitate to contact me. Well, Oktoberfest is right over now but we'll have Christ Child Market in December. |

When I saw this guitar on the bay, when Dave sold it some years ago, I knew I had to rip off the epaulets from my guitar. And some years later I had the oo to do it...

Location: atlanta | Kurt, an outstanding job! Kaki had a similar idea a couple of years ago, and the factory produced this beautiful prototype:

I know Kaki is in Paris !
Unfortunatelly, I can't be there !
When we went to her previous concert in Paris with Jerome, Kaki played on this beautiful black Adamas ! I love these "epaulets" style !!!
L'Olympia is a famous place in France !
I'm really happy for her !
She deserves it !
Last time, she wasn't presented as the main performer of the concert but she received the best warmed applauses !!!! |

That was Witko's SMT "StealthAdamas" which he sold (and I was stupid enough not to buy . . .) |

Location: Phoenix AZ | The photo that Cliff posted was of my guitar. It was a custom. Supershallow grey-burst SMT with no epi's. It was a VERY sweet plugged in guitar and would have been a great gigger (for Cliff), but nooooooo..... I sold it about 4 years ago to a church player in Ohio.

| Thanks for the info, Cliff. The photo doesn't show the greyburst very well, I would have never known. I guess that was a custom-order instrument?.. |

Location: Phoenix AZ | Steve, There's more photos of that guitar on my website. The greyburst is VERY subtle. For the longest time I thought it was just black, but then I took it outside to do photos and said "wow, look at THAT". Very cool coloring.
