 | Got his ovation the other day. Battery door is missing, but more importantly, the label is missing from the inside of the bowl. i can't tell exactly what i have. I've been told in the newbie forum that this could be a CC28. My research says it's probably a CC28 SuperSlim.  Can anybody confirm or correct that? And does anyone know what that finish is called? Photos here: https://photos.app.goo.gl/raQdLYGWgjCRzHKn9 Will also try to attach.
 Thanks.

 | Hi ender1962,Hope you're enjoying your new pre-owned O. I think OMA pretty much hit the nail on the head. The Super Shallow Bowl, black head stock w/ gold tuners, and the OP4BT preamp all seems to suggest a CC28. I'm pretty sure the color code is the AWFB model which stands for Amber Waterfall Bubinga. Here's a link to Ovation Tribute featuring a 2009 USA Catalog that includes this guitar on the following page
http://www.ovationtribute.com/Catalogues/2009_Ovation_New_Products_Catalog/2009_Ovation_New_Products_Catalog_14.jpg The next page has the specs for the guitar here... http://www.ovationtribute.com/Catalogues/2009_Ovation_New_Products_Catalog/2009_Ovation_New_Products_Catalog_15.jpg A great find for "next to nothing"! Cheers!

 | Any guidance as to where I might find that battery door? I can't tell if the electronics work without it . |

 | You do not say in which country you are located. But HERE is one for $17.

 It's just bass-ackwards.
BTW, would that effect intonation in any way?

 | If you look at the battery box cover you'll see that the 9v battery terminals just poke through the two slots to make contact. If you're careful to correctly match the polarity, you should be able to test your electronics by just inserting a battery. |

 | BCam,
Not sure I follow. I have no battery cover. It was missing when I bought the guitar.

 | My point is, you don't need the cover in order to test the electronics. I should have said if you look at the photo of the battery cover in the previous post you'll see how the battery terminals are oriented. You can just insert a battery and hold it in place as long as you orient it so the polarity is right. On the other hand, if this still doesn't make sense, don't try it, you can cause damage if the polarity is reversed.

 | Easy rule to ID a Celeb - don't they all have the two white buttons on the bridge (which I guess hide screws)? |
