Location: Paris/France | Today is a special day for Schroeder and I.
The English (rosbeef) and French (frogs) teams are going to play the semi-final of the Rugby World Cup tonight in Paris.
Most of you in USA can't imagine how it's important to win tonight!
It's always fantastic to fight against the English because it's a great team and our "best enemy" since a so long time.
We don't forget that you burned Jeanne d'Arc in 1431 in Rouen!!! ;)
The French team is ready and I'm ready too... :D
Good luck Schroeder (and to all the guys from UK). I'm sure that everybody will watch the TV tonight from both side of the channel.
J :)
PS: the red french beret comes from USA... :D

Good luck to both teams!! |

I face a dilemna about whom to root for; being your typical American of mixed descent, I'm both French descent (from my grandpere) and English descent (from my grandma) from my mom's side of the family. And I don't suppose a draw will satisfy either side. ;)
I've got it--I'll just watch American college football.
Good luck to both of you....

But they do make better snacks. |

I'm very disappointed but it's the game. :(
I sincerely wish good luck to the English team for the final!!!
The beer was good, I was with some of my good friends and it was a very good evening.
Rendez-vous in 4 years in New Zealand... ;)

I think that she is looking for the one I can play! :D |

| I've almost sobered up.
Jerome make sure you cheer for England next weekend.
Jerome has a ticket for the Final - imagine if the Superbowl was held only once every 4 years and it was a world championship that the whole world could enter.... (an alien concept to you guys, but try) |

Schroeder: BTW Mike - what's with this "sorry you lost" on Jerome's thread? They got their little blue asses kicked by a better team. [Wink] [Big Grin] The French are surely arrogant but the English are... English!!
Sorry, my English is too poor to find the right words to tell you what I really think of you and your team!!!! :D :D :D
I've got a question for you Schroeder.
If I can find a free ticket for the final for you, are you ready to take the train to Paris and to stay with me for 2 days???
I'm very serious and even if it will be very very hard to have this ticket, be sure I'll do my best if you can be there.
Arrogant?? For sure because I'm French (and proud to be French) but I'm not a person who holds grudges especially with a S.O.B like you... ;)
I'll be so happy to have you at home during this weekend.
Just let me know if it's possible for you to be there.

And to you Jerome, at least your team got further than ours. Now I have the dilemma of whether to cheer for England or South Africa...and that's a hard choice for an Aussie :D |

| C'mon oz - it's no choice at all. If the boks win you won't hear the last of it for the next 4 Tri-Nations and Super 14s.
Jerome - I can't. I will be on holiday in Belgium with the family. Do you know if Eurosport has coverage? I would never have agreed to go on holiday if I'd thought we had any chance of making the final.
 |

nah, that's not it...
...With friends like the French who needs the English?
nope...
...With enemies like the French and English who needs brioche?
uhn-uhn...
A Frenchman, Englishman and the Pope walk into a bar....
I can't remember...
Anyway, it was a nice offer Jerome (and a very clever way to lure a Brit into a good bludgeoning) |

| In defence of poor little Belgium - it's one of the coolest places around. And they make the best beer and the best chocolate anywhere. And they make no effort at all to be nice to visitors. I like that in a country - no "have a nice day" crap, just a look that says "go away and die".
My kinda people.
Is "co inside" Yorkshire for coincide? Tha's a reet bad spellist. Nobody expects the colonials to spell correctly but me and the Temp do try to keep the standards up. Think of England woman, make the Queen proud. |

( maybe id be better off meeting someone i dont like and working backwards  ) so Schroeder i will try my level best to maintain high standards and will even consider sending drafts of posts for editing and correction. |

Don't you be slaggin' Lacrosse! The Official National Summer Sport of Canada. (What say we put our best lacrosse team up against the best US baseball team and see who walks off the field? ;-) Amazing really, that such a peaceful country spawns and loves two of the four most violent sports in the world. (the others being Rugby and Aussie rules football)(of course, football also originated in Canada....we like to play a lot, what can I say?) |
