 | The words of a song by some unknown and deservedly forgotten songwriter said it best.... "The hole kept getting' deeper
Till I saw no way out
 Puttin' up with you
 Is what misery's truly about"

 | Just one time, I wish you could stand inside my shoes,
Then you'd know what a drag it is, to see you.

Okay. Y’all win. I’m done trying here. It’s been fun but this is getting old. Adios.

 | Okay. I’ll accept that. My responses to everything for weeks have been colored by my virtually being at my wits end with intractable pain. Sorry I overreacted. Looking at it again it was an even cooler reply than Darkbar taking the easy way out quoting my own words. You win. Thanks for this reply. I’ve been trying hard to redeem myself from my disastrous debut on this forum. I wish I could have y’all over for a Texas bbq on my patio with a few cases of Shiner beer. Heading out now to my first jam session in two months. Later.

 | I appreciate the challenge of intractable pain, "There, but for the Grace of God, go I". As to the proclivity of the incorrigible cynic & consummate wiseass, tact & diplomacy frequently escapes me. It is not sarcasm, assuredly. We are all a band of passionate people, & using only two sensory modalities (sight & sound) leaves out a lot of the intended message! |

 | Well, you asked, "What up..."

Actually, I haven't even been on the forum for awhile. Someone had to email me that you asked about me. So there....

 | The only redeeming quality of this discussion is that it keeps displacing that stupid insomniac quiz from the top of the active threads list…
…keep up the good(?) work guys!

 | Wow. While trying to get familiar with the general vibe here I've been reading lots of stuff. Is this how ya generally get along on this forum? |

Only in threads with DaveKell and/or Darkbar in the fray.. and sometimes others, and definitely including myself. Dissecting on Dave is sport.. but he, himself, is also sport about it, so it seems to work. Just something to do in lull time. Have at it. Maybe check the archives first, though, then you'll see.

 | Not to worry Ellem. It's all good. My debut on this forum was tarnished by me barging in and hyperposting without absorbing the culture here first. Took quite awhile to recover from that. Since then I've participated in a few really good threads, including one on songwriting that several joined in on. By the way, are you that guy I met at a yard sale over on Quail Run Rd in Reno who was looking at an Applause guitar? I recall telling you about this forum to get info on Ovations. |

That is me. I recall our talk and appreciate so much you telling me about this forum. Everything you said is true about the knowledge here among these people. I surely have no idea why I’ve read so many harsh words about you. I haven’t discovered your entire history here yet but am a bit surprised you spoke so highly about this forum. I’m being careful not being overstep as you said you did. I’d like to get together sometime and jam whenever this rain finally moves out! We had a tornado this morning up the road from you in Azle. Again, thanks for turning me on to this place!

 | Hey Dave.. if Ellem is feeling so bad for you then at least tell him about the label you made for bburg's invention. I mean, it's not like we abuse you ALL the time. |

I found that series of posts. I recall when I met Dave at a local yard sale he was driving a cargo van with very attractive wording saying Hand Painted Signs on the side. I find it interesting he apparently can also do much smaller graphic design such as the attractive label for that custom built guitar. Then there is the posts about songwriting as well. He's apparently a creative guy.

Right. If Dave wasn't an accomplished artist by trade he could make a good rodeo clown... and tempting dangerous fate as they do, everybody loves a rodeo clown.
