Location: Cicero, NY | With great memories in mind, I invite you all to raise a glass in the honor of OFC Great Brad "Slipkid" Durasa on the anniversary of his passing. Those here who knew him need no reminder of the shoes he filled. Those who never had the pleasure need to just search the archives here or ask. He was truly a pleasure to know and it was an honor of many of us here to call him a friend. So fill your glass with whatever you think is best and raise it high in a toast to Slip. Just maybe, in between his next set (because we KNOW he's entertaining SOMEone wherever he is), he'll hear the glasses and smile.
Fly high, Slip. You earned it. |

There was almost no calendar this year. 2018 was a very tough year for a lot of reasons, and not only was I short on personal time, but for the life of me, I couldn't come up with a theme of any kind. Then a thread mentioned Brad in passing. What everyone has said about him is true. He was a good man to a total stranger, and people like that are rare. And a vacant theme turned into a bit of a tribute to the guy who enouraged me to make the calendar at all. So here's to ya Brad! It's never a bad time to toast one of the good guys! |
