With great memories in mind, I invite you all to raise a glass in the honor of OFC Great Brad "Slipkid" Durasa on the anniversary of his passing. Those here who knew him need no reminder of the shoes he filled. Those who never had the pleasure need to just search the archives here or ask. He was truly a pleasure to know and it was an honor of many of us here to call him a friend. So fill your glass with whatever you think is best and raise it high in a toast to Slip. Just maybe, in between his next set (because we KNOW he's entertaining SOMEone wherever he is), he'll hear the glasses and smile.

Fly high, Slip. You earned it.

I tip my hat and clink my glass and give a nod to you Slipkid. Time to re-read the manifesto.

We corresponded... never met, unfortunately. Lost quite a few friends here in that same category. Glass tipped for Brad.

Never met the man, but read his manifesto on many occasions. It really is that good - the theme of this years OFC Calendar too. Wonder how he would feel about a glass lifted in honor of him in Japan? Well only one way to find out... So, KANPAI to the Manifesto Man!

We never met, although we always said we would. But we were "pals". I bet everyone felt the same way about Brad. There aren't enough truly nice guys around anymore.

Time to let you all in on a personal secret. There was almost no calendar this year. 2018 was a very tough year for a lot of reasons, and not only was I short on personal time, but for the life of me, I couldn't come up with a theme of any kind.

Then a thread mentioned Brad in passing.

What everyone has said about him is true. He was a good man to a total stranger, and people like that are rare. And a vacant theme turned into a bit of a tribute to the guy who enouraged me to make the calendar at all.

So here's to ya Brad! It's never a bad time to toast one of the good guys!

Brad, Suspect that he was, was my friend. And for many of us, he was and still is, the heart and soul of the OFC. I invite you to read the following -- The OFC Manifesto".....

Good call on the theme. Patch. Looking forward to the next 11 months. (I take your calendars one month at a time... no peeking.)

I just read The Manifesto. Bravo to Brad. May he rest in peace. And Patch's admission that The Slipkid was his inspiration for this year's calendar, I can't wait to receive my copy. Best wishes to all.

Some of you may not know, but Brad, along with another member, did the calendar for it's first 5-6 years.....
