Arthur had already written something in the welcome section regarding this.
I had bought my Ovation CC about 40 years ago, but unfortunately I had not much time to play since then.
Now I noticed that the D string (Micrometer measured 0.75mm; 90cm long) is broken, and the others don't look very fresh either.
I read that standard on Ovation guitars is D'Addario nowadays, and Arthur already mentioned
that 40 yeards ago Ovation made their own strings which are no longer available.
So which string set should I buy to approach the original sound? Maybe someone has a tip?
(AFAIR it sounded very much like Leonard Cohen's albums at the end of the 70s.)
I would like to avoid a lot of experimenting if possible...
Thank you!
