Tommy Tedesco's family is selling his instruments. Tommy was a studio guy from the late 50's thru the 70's (or longer). 3 Ovations in here. He was a member of the Wrecking Crew.

Paul, I was looking at that black ovation. It seems to be a mid 70's 1627 or 1612? Ovation didn't offer black (almost appears flat black), in its serial range, and the TT at the end of the fretboard seems a tad crude. Maybe Tommy had it "customized" after he got it?

Jay.. I was looking at that, too. If you go full zoom to the edges of the binding trim you can see some black speckle/smear on the very edges of the white. Just tiny-trace amounts, but it's there all around. Then, look closely at the minor trim scratch on edge of the treble bout just to the right of the fingerboard. Is that some little spots of -4 natural I see peeking through there??
And the "TT" definitely looks hand-carved "crude" as you say. Far from a clean match. The only other instrument in the collection I noticed with his ID on it is the electric Ibanez IMG2010.
