Yeah, it's sneaking up on me. One thing I've found about Ovations is you can order them sight unseen and not be disappointed. They seem to be a tremendous value in terms of what you get for the bucks.

I've been thinking Adamas for a while. You can't play them in my locale because they tend to stock the lower end instruments, but will order what you want. That being the case, I will probably order from Al as I have done in the past.

I like the 2080. Not a bargain basement price, but conversely not a lot of bling, so the money is gong into the instrument, not the trappings.

For those of you who own/have played a 2080, how different will this guitar be from my current high end Ovie, the C2079LX?

Close you eyes when you play and it'll feel just like the 2079. But the sound is nothing at all like it. Can't compare, just different. Dave

I have several Adamas I have been contemplating selling. Unless you just want new, I might have a couple nice options for you.

What has impressed me most about the Adami I have heard in recordings is the clarity of tone, for lack of a more eloquent description. At this point in my playing career, that's what I'm seeking. I'm simply not sure how much is the instrument and how much is the signal processing.

I'm not yet ready to pull the trigger on a deal, but within the next few months if all goes well.

I would have to disagree; there is a cure but it is expensive! :)
