Location: Boise, Idaho | Is this the first time Ovation has used a torrefied top on a production guitar? I don't remember one in any of the collector's editions or the limited editions. |

Location: Katmandu | Does this version still have the nitrofinish? Is it a mid-depth bowl or shallow bowl? |

Location: SoCal | I have a Legend with a torrefied addirondak top. It has a huge sound (huge and bright -- I"m trying to tame the brightness). A mid depth bowl could be exactly right for a torrefied top.
I remember playing Whitehead's custom Adamas (back in 2006). It was a mid depth bowl, 12 fret slothead. And it had the best sound of any Adamas 6 string I have ever played. The mid depth bowl tamed the deep boominess of and Adamas (to my ears).
I wonder just how good this GC Artist does sound? I bet, very very good. Good enough to sell a guitar or two to afford it? I'd have to play one first...... |
