Does anyone know the exact wrench size I need to adjust the truss rod on a 70's Preacher? I assume it's the same as the Viper and Breadwinner. 1/4" for sure doesn't work. I tried a 7mm and it was a touch too big but 6mm seemed to be too small. Whatever it is, its a size I don't own and need to pick up.

For the official records here..I am an idiot and 1/4" is absolutely the right size.

I just ordered a 1/4" Truss Rod Wench for my 1657... And it arrived, and it don't fit.
(Yeah... but it is for a Taylor, so I should have known better)
And I have checked it with a 1/4" Allen wrench and it IS 1/4".
Since I cannot find a correct "Truss Rod Wrench" I have been using my Klein Tools 12-in-1.
It has a 1/4" socket on it. I don't know if this is helpful or not.

I quickly found that most truss rod tools are of a certain size or shape that cannot easily get into the truss nut on the Ovation. Once I knew it was 1/4" for sure I just bought a nice nut driver and it worked perfect.

I think that my Taylor-ish Truss Rod Wrench won't fit because the sides of the socket are too thick.
Somewhere I have TWO antique Ovation wrenches, but I cannot find them.
