Some old Ovation 70's strings are described as "3A Med Bronze" on the ovationtribute resource pages.

Any guess what would be 2017 conversion (or comparable) might be?

Probably the same as Adamas 1818, or D'Addario EJ16's or EXP16's.

Thanks for the link. It took me down memory lane. Look at all those artists on the second last page. I don't remember bell bottoms looking so goofy back then, though.

medium would be the 1717 if I recall correctly, a 13-56? EJ17 But OMA might be right on this one.
