Location: Colorado | The financial burden of having two sons play high school baseball will soon be upon us and I've decided that I can live without a guitar for a while. I bought this from Brad (ProfessorBB) back in January and it's in the same shape as it was then--as close to perfect as you'll find. Stereo preamp works great, guitar plays excellent. And it's a bass cannon. Price is firm at $2000 (plus shipping). That is what I paid for it and would like to keep it in the family if possible. I would obviously prefer a local transaction to avoid shipping. But I would be willing to drive a couple hours to meet someone in the middle to help with the exchange. Photos available upon request as I'm having trouble uploading photos at the moment. Thanks.

Location: Colorado | Gotta love the lowball offers... I got one offer from a guy on Craigslist as he tried to compare this gem, which sold well over a year ago, to a 1995 (not a 1999) 1581-5. https://reverb.com/item/2092616-ovation-adamas-1581-5-1999-black-epaulet-cutaway See for yourself. I had a good laugh and politely declined.

Location: SoCal | If you can't get what the guitar is worth, hold on to it. I was trying to sell my 30th CL. Couldn't get my price and now, I'm kinda glad I didn't sell it. Once again, I"m enjoying it a lot.
As a side note, I remember in 2004 when they were first coming out, how, when Al got the first one in to sell, he told us all what a great guitar it was. He was right..... |

Location: Colorado | It is a great guitar, but i won't sell it for less. Trouble is it hasn't been really played in six months and we're getting ready to finish our basement, finish the garage, and replace all the countertops in the kitchen. And I'm coaching my youngest son's baseball team. So it won't get played for another six months. |

Location: GATLINBURG TENNESSEE :) | I’m playing mine again at our new church orchestra as my main go-to guitar, especially now that it has the Op-Pro installed. Don’t sell it!...
...I’ve heard that some people are getting good money by selling their second kidneys! |
