| Hi if this thread has been covered before, apologies. I've had my Ovation since 1983. I stopped playing for a long time but thankfully my son found it several years ago and had it refurbished. I've been playing it since and really enjoy it again. It's in great condition, but I went to change the strings the other day and one of the strings is now slipping. I've taken it to my local guitar shop and they've told me I need to replace the machine head. They've tried to source and come to a dead end. They are the original tunersfir the 1639 - Schaller, two screw fix, black. Appreciate it if anyone can help as I don't really want to end up with new tuners and new fixing positions. Many thanks. |
