Location: Colorado | Just curious, what makes the dual knob electronics more appealing to you than a newer preamp? I had an Optima in my 1881 and loved it. I have a two knobber 1581 reissue (single epaulet) and it's great, but looking for the OP-24 or an Optima in a newer 1581 may open up more possibilities for you. Not judging, just asking.

Location: Sweden | I just love the OP-PRO in my 2080 and would love to have a 1581 with that one too. But it´s just a love of the design that makes me whant one.
Right now my 2078 LX Custom Elit is doing a great job and it has the OP-PRO. Can´t get enough Ovations........ |

Location: Colorado | Yes. Finding a mid-80s two knobber in good shape for a decent price may take a while though. Happy hunting! |
