Location: Steeler Nation, Hudson Valley Contingent | Well that was a long day at the post office..... As the title says, everything is in the mail. The Post Office says things should get where they are going by Christmas with the exceptions of those going overseas, which is, of course, anyone's guess; though I am hopeful for those as well based on how fast they crossed the oceans last year. I'm also sad to say that for the first time, the project may not have paid for itself. The last couple of years cut it close, but we had a lot fewer orders this year and as usual, postage went up. But...whatcha gonna do eh? But all that aside, here's a holiday photo for you. And yes, for those wondering, that big, white ribbon is the postal receipt from today. I hope you all like what you see when it gets there!! Merry Christmas!!!!
Oh and by the way, that's a 7-foot-tall tree...without the stand. |

Nice Tree.
Nice work, Patch.
...and nice guitar! The quilted maple Adamas...Whew, she's a beauty!
Hey, and if the postage to Japan ended-up being more expensive than originally budgeted, please let me know, I'll gladly pay the difference! Thanks again Patch! |

Location: Steeler Nation, Hudson Valley Contingent | Thanks for offering Arumako, but there's no need for more postage from anyone. Hopefully more calendars find homes; that will even things out eventually. And regarding my Adamas, I've taken to calling it my Christmas ornament. It's certainly festive enough to fill the role. |

Thanks for the response Patch; and yes, the beautiful gold quilted maple topped Adamas would be the best "ornament" I've ever seen...

I was just noting that we came up a little bit short so far, which has not happened before. But no need to worry, it's not a lot and nothing I can't handle. I truly do appreciate the gesture though. You folks are the best. |

I always refer to last year's comments when I'm tweaking things for the next year. This year had some bigger tweaks than usual, so I'm curious about feedback. |

It really *is*!!!! GORGEOUS shots Jay! You do have 'the touch'!! May's made me cry, and how absolutely appropriate for Mother's Day too! Perfect Patch! <3 <3 She would Love it!
I really do have to watch what I say on here, some of the most innocent comments end up in the Calendar to remind me all year that I have absolutely no filter! LOL!!!! I absolutely LOVE July!!! Thank You so very much Patch!! It is such an Honour to be included!
And that Cover is nothing short of Spectacular!!! LOVE IT!!! The Shapes and Colors; Golds, Woods and Abalone! With a Regal Blue back drop is Stunning!! And ALL Slotheads!!!! Creative Genius - "Music in the Round"!!!
I loved Arthur's Flame, and Bradf4rd's Mandolins!!! Dan Savage's 1617, The Master of the BFLG!!! And Damon's White UKII! WHOA!!! I think I liked DetlefMichel's the BEST though! I kept looking at it, saying "WHAT??? How did he DO THAT???" Then it hit me like a ton of bricks, VERY Clever and Cute!!!
And of course, wind it up with that OMG Fabulous Redwood Custom!
Once again Patch, you knocked it out of the Park!! Pictures, Captions, Quotes and Layouts! Heavy stock and ring bound! These are real Treasures, and I appreciate Greatly, the time and work (and Love!) that you put into these!!!

Location: Steeler Nation, Hudson Valley Contingent | Some very kind words. Thank you everyone. I will be going to the post office today to ship a couple more that have been ordered. If anyone else wants one or two...or one or two more...get your order in this morning and I can take them as well. We have plenty left, and I would hate to have to go the eBay route when I return from holiday travels. Speaking of which: I will be on the road the week after Christmas on "The Kith and Kin" Tour. (Talk about a great name for a band!) Anyway, I don't plan on taking a box full of calendars with me, so any orders placed after Christmas Eve cannot hit the mail until after the new year. I also can't check email as often, so if you don't hear from me right away, don't panic. I'm probably just strolling through the digital hinterlands. In the meantime, seriously, I have over 20 left for certain and would love to get them out of my office sooner rather than later. So don't be bashful. At the risk of tooting my own horn, I was told last Sunday by my contact at the printers that the owner of that VERY large press corporation personally checked on this project because he has always liked what he saw. And he stated that, although they looked good every year, he thought this one was the best so far. Considering what he does for a living, I consider that high praise indeed. Also, now that some clues about content have gotten out, I promis to fill you in on some of the back story before I leave; especially May, which probably took more time to assemble and lay out than the rest of the months put together, but once I saw the final product, was worth every..single...minute. BTW, I can't believe how fast that box got to Japan! |

Location: When?? | It's been a long-standing tradition with me to never looking ahead at calendar pictures until each actual month officially arrives (bad luck to do that). I guess the payoff is that I get a whole new thrill 12 times a year, but this one's gonna drive me loony! Oh well, at least I have an awesome cover to look at for the time being. Great job, Patch! See ya on 01/01.
And speaking of bad luck, this day marks the anniversary of the Pan AM 103 bombing over Lockerbie, Scotland, during which we lost 35 students from Syracuse University (270 victims in all). The origin of our OFC calendars comes from very near Syracuse.. and as well I would imagine there were at least a few avid guitar players on board flight 103, so I just wanted to mention that as I look back and act forward in their memory. Thank you. |

Thanks again for lending your talents to this. Also have to give a round of thanks to those who submitted pictures for this issue. Some beautiful and rare contributions.
