Hey guys I found a 1968 Thunderhead on evilbay,it's a bit of a players condition guitar but I've always thought they were cool. It's my first ovation electric and needs some TLC and a few things to make it hole but they're rare and a piece of ovation history I'm proud to own.
It's missing the whammy bar and cover where the neck joins the body so I'm hoping Mr Ovation will chime in and give me some info on this model and maybe a source for parts,It has a good tone and with some adjustments I think it will play awesome so I'm a happy camper with my new O.

OK so I'm having probs with my camera but I'll upload pics soon

Looks nice. I like the brown. Clean it up and play it.

I have three of the bars on eBay right now. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Rare-Vintage-heavy-duty-Schaller-Tremolo-Vi...

Also I believe I have a back cover. You can email me at mileskb at aol dot com and I can combine the shipping.

I know this is an old thread, but I had to tell you that I own your guitar's older brother! Mine is B 099!

I bought this from the original owner who purchased it in June 1969. He even gave me the original bill of sale from Sigler Music in Ft. Smith, Arkansas!
