Location: Portland, OR | Because of Simon, I always wanted a black CL. So I got Fugots N769 though I already have one. I love it! It's gorgeous and plays like a dream, just like my #7 that I got from Bobby Boyles 10 years ago. Now I only wish I could play well enough to do these beautiful pieces justice. Oh well, can't have everything. John

| congrats on the N769 and to the owner of the new CL
my N768-9 is rapidly becoming my go-to guitar... I don't know if it's the AAAA master grade top on these or what, but it is the best sounding Deep-Bowl elite I have ever owned.
The previous Nakao I owned was also a cannon but was stamped USED and had had a bridge relocation..cosmetically in better shape than this one... but don't think it sounded anywhere near as rich.....
I left a message with John at the mothership to get a couple RA #'s so I can send it and the 69 shiny 12 up to the mothership for a refresh..
tops getting re-finned on the craftsman and a refret and plane on the neck..
the 12 is just having the cracks stabilized in the top and a light re-finish.
does anyone know of any Ovation models besides the craftsmans that used the AAAA master-grade tops?
Thanks,
Glenn |
