Location: Stratford, Connecticut | Did they really start making these in 1998 or did I screw up in trying to date my guitar here? LOL I figured they didn't start making these graphite workhorses until the earliest say 2oo3 but the adamas "serial number checker" linked to our glorious messages boards sort of says that this serial number is falling into the 1998 Adamas age range... could there be a misunderstanding here? Location: Scotland | The SMT didn't appear in the '97 catalog, but did in the '99. So from that we can assume they were introduced sometime in 98, and the serial number/date you have is most likely correct |

Location: Omaha, NE | FWIW, I bought a 1597 in early 2000, so I can verify that they were available prior to 2003. |
