Has anyone seen this show on Friday nights on FOX?

Some of the bands and the musicianship is outstanding!

They have country rock, bluegrass, country, metal, etc.

Some of the exceptional bands are:

SIXWIRE....country rock

The Clark Brothers..acoustic country rock/bluegrass

FRANKLIN BRIDGE....amazing musicians playing funk/rock/blues

???and the old #47...straight bluegrass

Those are my favorites. It is an interesting premise. They knock out 2 bands each week based on viewers voting. As usual, some good talent has fallen by the wayside while the crap slides through....but overall much more entertaining than most of the television "talent" shows.

The bands must play 1 original tune and one cover tune from the featured artist.

I believe tonight it is Billy Joel.

Well worth the time to watch just to see the 4 bands I mentioned previously. They are all professional level talent and sound very very good.

In Canada we just send 'em out on tour. If they don't freeze to death, they build an audience.

I watched the show last week and was amazed at the high level of talent. It's much, much better than American Idol, but thye've got a arsehole judge with a Brit accent that seems like a caricature of Simon Cowell. Other than that judge the show is great.

I liked The Mile High Orchestra. The band that really impressed me was Light of Doom. None of the musicians looked older than 14. The lead singer introduced Saturday Night's Alright for Fighting as a song by Elton John and Bernie "Paupin." They did a great rendition of the song.
