Hey all. I got an older ovation from a friend he got it from a pawn shop in the mid 90's. The head and neck were sanded so no serial #. I'm guessing It's either an applause or celebrity. I'm looking to fix the bridge and replace the electronics. The bridge was fixed once before as it looks like it was pulling away and got reinforced on the inside behind the bridge. The electronics look to have been replaced once as well as they have been spliced into some of the existing wires. Currently the bridge is broken and needs to be replaced.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Jagvader,

well, I'm guessin' that what ya got there isn't an older Ovation, but rather an "Ovation-style" copy (aka knock-off) produced by KIMAXE (logo on the preamp) guitars, a Korean maker (from what I've read) that's no longer in business. Google 'em for additional info and history.
