Location: Steeler Nation, Hudson Valley Contingent | Well, the time has come everyone! The first draft of the 2015 OFC Calendar is off to the editors. Of course, in order for this project to fly at all, I need to know how many to order. So here's the deal: The cost for the calendars in the continental United States will be $20. This includes the calendar, shipping fees, and Paypal fees with the exception regarding international shipping detailed immediately below. I know many of our overseas members have inquired about shipping, but I can only provide a ballpark figure based on the U.S. Postal Service website. I can estimate the size and weight of course, but beyond that it is pure guesswork. From what I can tell, shipping to Europe and Australia will run about $12 extra to send it via First Class mail. Of course I can try to combine orders and ship for those who can easily get them around to each other. So when you order, please be sure to remind me if you are overseas so I can budget everything accordingly. I do have one uncomfortable confession to make. Because I waited for the reopening of the factory, I am going to be cutting it close to get them to you for Christmas. I promise that I will move them out promptly once they have been printed, but I am being told it's a four week turnaround. 'Tis the season I guess What this means is that the sooner I receive payment the better, so I can have the envelope/box addressed and ready to go the minute I pick up the calendars. This is important! The spreadsheet I use to track everything is sorted by your OFC user name. Please be certain to include it however you contact me so I can keep records straight. This is especially important if you communicate via email. Payments can be made via Paypal to: ofc-calendar@patchworkmcg.com I would prefer not to post my address on an open internet forum. So if you prefer to send a check or money order, please contact me via email and let me know. Email is best; as last year I could not empty my PM box fast enough to keep up with the orders. Again, use ofc-calendar@patchworkmcg.com. Be certain of course to include your shipping address when you order |

Location: Yokohama, Japan | Thanks for the hard work again this year Patch. It is a greatly encouraging and GAS producing thing to walk into the office and stare at the beautiful Os on your calendar every morning. No doubt your calendar had more to do with the enthusiasm behind the Re-Birth of Ovation than any of us really realize...can't wait to see what you've done for the 2016 calendar! Debating between 5 and 7 again this year...copied the same as a PM needing postage advice to Japan. Just whenever you get around to it. As with previous years, arrival by X-mas is not an issue for us! Please be safe as you go about your mailing errands!

And +1 on what Arumako said. Thanks for all your hard work Patch! You are the guy who helped me understand (going way back on the AGF) why I love these unusual but wonderful guitars and introduced me to the OFC.

Location: Steeler Nation, Hudson Valley Contingent | With this week's orders added in, I estimate that I can now pay for the printing, which leaves packing and shipping costs yet to cover. (The hidden costs in there are the Paypal fees, which can be reasonalby impressive with this many orders.) I try to price things so as to break as close to even as possible because I want people to be able to afford these. Based on the last couple of years, we usually move about 100 calendars. So this year, I have ordered 110. The betting man in me says we'll make it, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed. |

Hey, where in Japan are you? I just spent almost two week in Yamanashi area (Kofu) visiting my daughter, son-in-law and new grand baby girl (born Thanksgiving Day!). Really enjoyed the time there, but also tired of sleeping on the floor on futons - ready to get this old body back into my own bed.
Sorry - way off topic for this thread - also can't wait to see the calendars! And I should have time to mail one to a friend for Christmas - thanks again, Patch! |

(Man can you get stuck at a post office forever at this time of year or what?!) Just a few more boxes to pack and send tomorrow. Much like last year, if you ordered fewer than four copies, it was cheaper to ship them individually, and I'll never understand how the USPS figures out its pricing.... I hope everyone likes 2016. As always, I've thought of about a dozen different things I'd like to add, now that it's too late. So now that things are almost wrapped up for Christmas and just for fun, feel free to take a look at the last year's calendar gallery. 2015 OFC Calendar Thumbs |

Location: Steeler Nation, Hudson Valley Contingent | Thanks everyone for the kind words. Hopefully all that have been shipped thus far will get where they are going in the next couple of days. Please remember that if you ordered fewer than four that they were mailed in separate envelopes as it was less expensive, and this little project usually comes darn close to breaking even as it is. I started another thread about leftovers, but will post those comments here as well just in case someone misses it. People keep asking via PM's and emails, so I'll lay this out here. I do still have some calendars left, and I am keeping a few in reserve, just like every year, just in case some do not get where they are going for some reason. But for now, I am comfortable saying we have at least 10 left that can be sold on a first-come, first-served basis. I will mail them as quickly as possible, but can no longer guarantee them by Christmas. (Although you never know.) Also, it is worth mentioning that I will be travelling from Christmas through the New Year, so if you want one (or more) shipped before then, get your order in before Christmas Eve, and I will make every effort to get it out before I leave. And once again, thank you to all who sent pictures and of course all who bought one or more. Merry Christmas everyone! |

| Hey Patch
I got mine Saturday! Wow what another bang up job. I was looking at the December 2015 page and wondering how I was going to be able to take down Michael's 12 string pictures. Lo and Behold the new calendar is just as gorgeous as last year and even includes great pictures of the 50th celebration and the first new guitar.
Thank again.
Merry Christmas! |

I had the project nearly done by the end of September, but when I heard what was going to be happening in October, it did not take long to make up my mind about waiting and putting it in for next year, even if it meant delaying the print until the Christmas crush. But in a roundabout way, Ovation's 50th Birthday gets celebrated for two months instead of one. It certainly seemed fitting to me anyway. |

The 485th Ovation made, that had passed through many hands, that had been triaged in so many ways, so many times, underwent a beautiful restoration. She is beautiful, easy to play and has a voice that most Ovations would die for. Thank you, so very much, Dan...and thank you Patch for showcasing her in your calendar...it is quite the honor. |
