You know, I'd really really like to get one of the 50th guitars. But what would I sell to make room? 1537, nah. 87C, nope. 40th CL, you kidding? OFC slothead, never happen. Big Blue? Are you nuts?
I'm just stuck with guitars that I could never get rid of. Just too many damned fine guitars.......

I've been lusting after Al's 1617ALE for way too long. I really thought I should have the last of Ovation's limited editions (other than that butt ugly thing they did). I bought the one from the year before, thinking it would be the last. My current rationalization is that I'll wait to see what the new ones are like and make a choice. I think I'm past the stage where having both was the most satisfying answer. I've got 17 or 18 of them with that sort of thinking and let a few go that I shouldn't have. Now it's time to retire and play the ones I've got. From the pictures, Al shouldn't be too surprised if he gets another call from me and I've got the credit card out.

Is there only 1 style of 50th Anniversary? There were pics of the Adamas with 2 round holes but no neck yet. Is that going to be an Anniversary model? If so, what are the specs?

Here's pics of the two guitars.
Kevin's guitar is 14-frets. I hope it's LX-braced and not A-braced. Neck width looks like it's 1-11/16"
The non-cutaway is 12-frets. It would be nice if this were X-braced, like the original Folklore guitars. It looks like the neck is wider, so I'm guessing it's 1-3/4" or maybe 1-7/8"
Since the B&G is an Elite, I'm guessing it's quintaid-braced.

You could get both.... I'm kind of considering it.
But you'll have to be in line behind me on the red Adamas. I'm for sure on that one.
Once it gets here I'll have to decide which of the herd to let go to pay the credit card bill. 1537? I love the feel and sound, and especially the as-new finish thanks to a Mothership refurb recently. Adamas 2080? Great sounding guitar plugged in, and very comfortable to play. I love the neck on this one. Patriot? Best sounding O I've ever heard. I flew up to Alison's shop in South Dakota to hand carry it home!
Then there are the electric O's. A Viper solid body and a Breadwinner. And the Hamer, which is never leaving.
Really it is an embarrassment of riches which I don't take advantage of already. But the 50th models are gorgeous in the photos. The necks really are stunning with the binding. DW has unleashed the craftsmen at the Mothership factory.

They really ARE Amazing! DW is quality and creativity, and it is Wonderful to see that commitment extended to our Guitars as well! I really appreciate that they took a few of the prototypes, and historical models to do the 50th Anniversaries off of. Allot of people would think the 2 holed Adamas #23 Prototype just a little too bizarre to use, but it is Perfect! It was the first one to catch my eye, and lose my breath over!

Damon, the "artist" bowls were kinda like a non-cutaway mid-depth bowl.
I would like another Parlor bowl, too.

Guess we'll have to await official release of the specs, but if its a mid bowl, it'll be my choice. I have no mid bowls. I also like the black Viper, but I'm long on Vipers as it is.

If you look at the pic below with guitar laying on its back you can see it appears deeper,i think its optical illusion from the angle of the pic.
I have pics of an artist bowl(mid-depth non-cutaway) GC1127-4 next to a deep bowl but as usual my files are to big to load...uuurrrrgghhhh.

Compared to WHAT? This boutique custom shop (I would not call it a "factory") is going to turn out a very limited number of guitars all built with the finest materials and impeccible workmanship. Yes $3-$5 grand is a lot of money, but I doubt at that they even cover the costs.
As a comparison not too far from the Ovation stable ... the Guild anniversary guitar (built in New Hartford by these same hands) sold for a street price around $5000 and the Takamine anniversary guitar was around $8000. And these were built in factories that were fully churning out a full product line of routine models to "spread" the cost.
Maybe I'm wrong, but I don't see a new $1500 USA made Ovation in the crystal ball

I bet there won't be any more OFC 1s either. The reissues were great, but I don't know whether they were profitable. The #47RI helped Al convince Ovation that the OFC guitar could be built at a reasonable cost. A bunch of the K1111RI's went into the Factory Reconditioned bins and were sold cheap. I have yet to find a flaw in mine, other than in the guy who plays it.
I'll bet that someone decided that the Collector Series were no longer sufficiently popular or profitable, so they tried very limited editions, which still didn't sell out. Instead of increasing the demand, they cut the supply. Standing Ovation could probably explain this in much more colorful marketing terms.

MARKETING = creating a buzz for something that people probably don't need and usually can't afford.
The 50th anniversary guitars certainly fall into this category. But for completely irrational reasons I DO WANT ONE, or TWO, or THREE ...
So at least for the short term I'd have to say that the marketing guys have hit a home run. Still not sure it's a sustainable business and only time will tell.

I can only imagine what all parties involved must be going through. They need samples for NAMM by the end of January, but they want to build flawless, exceptional guitars, and design/spec/redesign is part of that process, but at the same time, it's hard to sell something without a description, but they want to surprise and wow everyone, but they are so excited they want to tell the world. I'm guessing it's both exciting and frustrating on both sides of the curtain.

God bless Al! He is putting the information and photo's on his website as quick as he can get it. If you check now you will see he has received some spec sheets for some of the models so kudos to him for doing that.
Like Miles says I am sure there is stuff that is in flux and specs may change but I have to say I am just stoked at having the potential to even place a order deposit for a brand new USA made Ovation product.....super stoked!

Seems to be a constant source of confusion. Isn't there just one single contour bowl depth? It probably FEELS like a mid-depth but it was MEANT to allow the same response as the full depth bowl and that is probably why it gets called both.
Can someone please confirm, once and for all, that there's only one contour bowl depth?

When I was a young pup, starting out in law enforcement, there was an ongoing investigation that i jumped in the middle of ... with questions and concerns... and a long timer pulled me over and said...would you let us finish this, so at least one of us knows what we are talking about.
At some point, when the guitars are ready to be sold, surely Ovation will release the right config of each guitar. I would be willing to bet, there will be enough to go around.

Yeah but Al needs $ to reserve a spot in line. Specs, accurate specs, are necessary. I know he is doing what he can, and the guys at the factory are too. It would be a surprise to me if none of the non-cutaways were deep, but so far that is what is being advertised.

We should wait to hear from the horses mouth. I though I understood that the original countour bowl had been cut down slightly in depth to a new version called mid contour. But to be honest the lines are very blurred between what is fact, what is fiction, what is desired and what is flat out false.

i heard about cutting it down also but I am not positive on this information
I put info up as fast as I can get it btw some of the pics I have to swap around to match model numbers just gotta get to it.
but
there are typos in the spec sheets so expect them to change this at least gives you a good idea of what is to come. if you have specific questions I will try to get the information but ....it takes time

Wonder why they would screw with the one aspect of the guitar that (as far as I know) no serious Ovation player or collector has ever complained about? I doubt it was intentional, probably for some odd reason they physically could not build deep or contours to the old specs anymore.
Before I launch myself head first off the roof of the building maybe could you see if they would offer deep and contours as an up charge ???

FWIW there was a thread a while back titled "leaked photo" it was of a prototype custom elite with a mid depth contour bowl according to bill x.
I would guess this was the model they used to test there new concept,personally i don't have any problems with the round back,I'm an avowed deep bowl junkie, but it has always been one of those "things" that people complain about that the bowl rolls so DW may have felt a new contour bowl would be desirable,as far as making deep bowls again it sounds like there cutting the bowls down to size so I would bet you could custom order a deep bowl at some point.

I would have to agree that there had to be SOME reason not to use the equipment that was already spec'd and to change it ~1 inch. To those who liked it, this isn't going to mean any difference at all. To those who didn't appreciate the contour? Same thing - they're still going to pass it by. Had to be another reason but, personally, it's not going to deter me from searching them out and giving them a good listen. I'll leave it to Bill and the rest of the crew to determine what's most financially efficient. And, if they still offer the deep bowl and deep contour? Hell, that's just options, right?

Having had a good look through the very informative thread on how bowls are made, I suspect they've modified the procedure for some reason that necessitates a more shallow bowl. Maybe Fender threw away/sold a particular piece of equipment that was used to make bowls? If that's the case, a deeper bowl might cost a fair bit more.

I'm a deep bowl kinda guy. But let's wait and see what the 50th guitars sound like. Might stop thinking about the depth of the bowl. Might find that these new guitars sound pretty damned good.....

Nah! It's just a matter of cutting an inch or so off the part of the bowl that meets the top. No biggo-dealo. That's all the did to make a deep bowl into a mid-depth, then into a shallow, then into a super-shallow.
If you look at the profile of the bowl they're all the same profile. The only difference is how much is cut off.

I was at the factory yesterday picking up my Adamas 1687 (which I might add they did their usual fantastic job of tuning up). John showed me the now completed fd14av50 Folklore. This is a gorgeous guitar with a cedar top and koa binding. I also got to hear it just a little bit and it has a full rich, sweet nuanced sound. I was quite impressed. I have a cedar top Taylor 714ce with similar qualities but the Folklore has a deeper richer sound and it also projects. I've never considered getting a 12 fret guitar but this one is making me think about it. I wish they had one of the black Elites finished. I've thought about getting an Elite for a while now and that one sure is slick looking.
John told me that there will be Five 50th anniversary models and they plan to build 50 of each. They have a lot of work ahead of them since they didn't get back all of the tooling and much of it needs work to be put back in service. That might explain why there's only one choice of bowl at the moment though I didn't ask.
If I go ahead and order one its between the Legend and the Elite at this point, but boy o boy that Folklore...

What was wrong with the 1687?
And yeah a while ago I had started a thread asking about 12-fretters, and it's great that they have two of those in the line up. Though it's a bit strange that the Adamas is supposed to be acoustic only with optional electronics. Wonder how it would compare to the 1680.

I know Jimmer. I asked John at the tour and he indicated it would be a 2077, so when I saw the number at LAV, I emailed John for clarification. He gave me the model number I posted. It looks more like a 2077 than anything else anyway....

Not much really. I bought it used a few months ago. It's a reissue. I think it hadn't been played for many years and it had a lot of tarnish on the tuners and the frets plus it needed a little bit of setup. When I'd try to slide up the neck my fingers would drag on the frets from excessive friction. They put some new buttons on the tuners, polished and ground the frets a little and set it up nicely. Now it plays and sounds great.
Every time I bring a guitar to them for work it comes back and it's almost like getting a new guitar.

I agree with Al...though I have never played too many guitars, mine have been deeper bowls...- I held these...and I didn't notice,...they are not shallow...sound great...

The only mid-depth I've ever owned was the GC778 I sold to a buddy (who loves it btw). It sound terrific!
I've no problem with mid and around 3500-4000 works for me. I was a concerned that I would send Al my down payment, only to find out I was buying a $9000 guitar. Checks in the mail, Al!

I was wondering if the Deep Bowl was an option, since the electronics on the Adamas BearClaw #23 (I am not sure of the number) is optional. I have never ordered a brand new Guitar before, so I am not certain of what to expect as far as ordering. For me, there is no question that they are going to sound Exceptional whatever depth the bowl is!

Well I paid my credit card bill today. Not sure I ever spent that much on guitars before and didn't actually receive any guitars to show for it (yet) !!!
Oh well, the waiting will hopefully give me time to invent some new "smuggle them in" techniques. I almost got busted last time ... I brought a guitar in that "had been sent out for repair" ... yeah right. Wife says, gee look they even put a nice new QC hangtag on the tuners and a new barcode sticker on the case. Yes dear, that shop does some really good work. Gulp.

Yup, I can't get excited for the mid bowl, nor the lack of electronics. But I love the look of the ruby red with #23 Bear Claw sound holes. And it appears to be a 12 fret to the body neck.
Deep bowl plus OpPro preamp (or VIP or Studio) was something I really expected to be offered.

That #23 Bear Claw is Drool-Worthy! I think since they are making the bowls a new way (with the autoclave) and they are thinner, stronger, and have more resonance, the bowls will be just fine. I was a little surprised with the lack of electronics, but then I remembered, I don't use them anyway! And you can order it with the electronics for those who do stage work.
My biggest problem with it, is which one do I take down on the NanCave Sign wall to put this one up??? (that would be after the first year or two, where I don't let it out of my sight! It will move from room to room with me, and go to the store, and I can make a special holder on my tractor for it!) LOL!!!

I'm just disappointed that the Adamas offering has that Rocketeer/Steampunk look; how fast are those pieces going to snap off on tour use and some a-hole touching the guitar or a rough production assistant mishandling it? Real fast. The price is rough to swallow too, considering I can get models I know sound and play great for half the price of these 50ths. I have little doubt that the 50ths will be so "amazing" and what not, but I already know which models are brilliant sounding and so the fact that DW doesn't realize they are competing with former Adamas models too is a little strange to me, personally. I realize that some people here have less concern for performance and income return on an instrument than I do, but 5 grand for an anniversary guitar that's pumping out 50 per model strikes me as an insane price point. We love these guitars for a reason, but let's be honest. We're not collecting Fenders or Gibsons for a reason. These guitars are supposed to be great quality and are not really prized by most folks the way we prize them. That is, they aren't overinflated in value because some rich people buy them as a retirement project or portfolio item. Ovations were created for players and earners. Adamas for professional players. In terms of price appreciation... it's not there for Os and As, so the premium is a little absurd. The Mill CB is worth what? All of 3,500-5,000 bucks today in mint condition? They only made 75 of those, right? This doesn't feel right to me. I'll just pick up a Rocketeer/Steampunk Adamas in five years for half the price and redo the frets if need be. If DW wants to make a real run at this, they need to get their guitars in the hands of artists and bands that young people respect. This entire Melissa Etheridge/Glen Campbell legacy is not something that turns on new guitar players to the brand, unless they are 70, or really big ME fans. There's not the same sort of rush for these because no one's hero is playing them (young people especially), except for a few folks, who know great unknown players who use these instruments. I calculate how many hours--nine--it will take me to pay for that guitar by using it as a professional tool--which it is--and I take a step back and return to buying second and third hand Adamas on Ebay. I'll step out on the limb for a rare guitar, but that guitar has to have a larger public following to drive its value up as the years go by or there's no point in buying it unless its tone is so immaculate that it gets me a backing gig in... basically Pink Floyd. This isn't exactly the case with Adamas and Ovation. I'm almost always bidding against you guys and maybe 30 other people worldwide who value these instruments. Because they do not appreciate in value, they are bound to depreciate, which is what they do. This makes them a bad investment as both a tool and a stand alone investment, especially for a performer and likewise for a collector. Really disappointed. Almost 5,000 dollars for a guitar that'll be worth 2000 in ten years? Is this a joke? I want to support the new Ovation/Adamas... but the price point is off center. I can buy a new Taylor for 3 grand and beat it on the road and re-sell it for 2 grand, same with Larivee and Collings and pick your recognized manufacturer here. For five grand I can get a custom guitar from a luthier if I link them on my website. If I beat an Ovation or Adamas on the road, I'm losing way more than half of its value because it's not a well marketed and sought after product in any condition. *End of Rant*

This one was hanging in the MotherShip collection room for years.
Personally, I think that it is Fugly too. That doesn't make it bad.
I shop on eBay, Reverb, and the OFC. So I won't be buying any of them either.
I have bought two NEW Ovations in my life and I sold them both. (then bought one back)
I believe that the 50's are for people who really want one and have the scratch.
The DW Ovations are in the "if you have to ask the price, you cannot afford it" category.
Much like Larrivee, Santa Cruz, and a bunch of other guitars...
If you are looking for under $500, this ain't it.
Finally, if you are buying guitars to play for years and then resell at a profit...
That is a bad business strategy. All of those $50K guitars on Antiques Roadshow are closet queens.
(Plus... I doubt anybody ever really gets that quarter-million dollars for a blanket)
You won't make a profit on an Adamas because the people that buy Used are looking for a bargain.
BUT... I have seen some Collectors' Editions actually sell for a decent price on eBay recently.
Much like people selling an old Martin D-45... They didn't buy it to sell.
And they had to wait 60 years for them to be valuable. (they were worth more 20 years-ago)
But I can still buy an old $300 Ovation on eBay... Play it for two years, then sell it for $300.
As far as DW making money...
DW owns OVATION. That includes all of that Asian stuff that is actually selling in Asia.
The Reverse-Red and Blue Celebrity's. The DJ Ashba stuff.
Paduak and Bubinga CC whatevers...
All of those factory 2nd AX's and TX's your see on eBay?
They cannot be rejecting ALL of the guitars they make...
Some of them must be selling somewhere.

But $5K was the going rate for a new Adamas before the shut-down.
I own 15+ year-old Adamii that play just fine.
And there are nine Adamii on eBay for less than $3K.

However, five years on the road for an Adamas is a doddle. Might need a re-fret, but tough as old nails. Five years on the road for a $5,000 wood box? Not so good.

New Guy, what you are saying makes sense but doesn't necessarily represent the real world. Car manufacturers sell hundreds of thousands of new cars every year. And as soon as they are driven off the lot they go down in value. Why buy new when you can buy a used car a coup!e of years old for half the price? I donno, but people do it. For the new car smell? For the warranty? I donno. And people will buy new guitars and pay good money for them.
If you only buy used guitars at a lower price, be grateful for people who buy new. Don't look down on them. Without people who buy new, there would be no used guitars.

Face it. People who collect guitars, or most anything, are not "practical". I doubt that any decent financial or retirement planner would recommend you invest in collectible guitars, cars, artwork, models, stamps or anything else that people collect. I know of at least one of us who collected guitars to fund his retirement and last I knew he was still working at his day job.
I think the limited edition guitars are marketed to enthusiasts who have at least a modest amount of discretionary spending money. I suspect that DW and the old Ovation crew also hopes to use them as marketing tools to show what Ovation can do and entice people who can't justify buying one of the limited editions into buying some other Ovations. I also hope that they get them out to artists who will help sell guitars, but I agree with Arthur about the lack of a market for young people. They're all buying devices and getting their music off them.

I think DW has made EVERY move Perfectly! FAR beyond our expectations of a year ago! They are not Fender (Thank the Heavens, or whatever deity you prefer!), and are FRESH!, EXCITING! Committed to EXCELLENCE, and have already proven themselves as one Hellaciously Successful Company! I have the utmost faith in them, and the Creativity, Drive and Commitment, that they are already demonstrating in their first newborn movements and decisions as a new Division.
And Yes, some of us of us, Me Included LOVE that BearClaw Adamas, the #23 Prototype was originated by the Kaman Ovation, it was just never put into Production. I think it is FABULOUS that they put that one in as one of the 50th Anniversary pieces, it shows Honor to the Past with slight modifications to bring it into the Present. It is Incredible that they brought back some of the Old to the New! Incredibly smart move to gain loyalty from any person that loves the Phenomenal Standards and Engineering of the Kaman Dynasty.
I am not on the well to do side, I sold many personal pieces to be able to get in line for one of these 50th pieces, I want to show my appreciation to DW for bringing back our Boys, and our Guitars, I want to support them in anyway possible, and Dang It! I LOVE that BearClaw!! Heck, one of these would pay for half of my new roof!!! But this is important to me, Really important to me.
Not everyone is looking for a On-Stage Performance Guitar, but the Adamas' have been used on stage by every well know Star for decades, they have a long standing history of being tough enough for the road and stage, and I don't expect any less of these new introductions.
There is nothing wrong with waiting until they come down in price a few years from now to get your hands on a used one, but please don't 'poo-poo' those of us who are really excited about this new Launch, and the pieces they are launching. No one is holding a gun to our heads to buy one, we are excited and standing in line for ours!
And that ("Fugly") #23 Prototype, DW can send it here to me for my Nan-Cave, and I will cherish it! Everything about that Guitar is unique, brilliant, and exceptionally made! My Ultimate Holy Grail!!!

I think some are missing the point of what these guitars represent. They are not just "collectors" guitars. They are in fact the first guitars after the reboot. They will undoubtedly be some of the best playing and sounding guitars ever made in that factory because that is what they need to be. This wasn't just a change of ownership, it was a complete reboot. The engineers and luthiers essentially starting from scratch with the knowledge and experience of 50 years of making guitars in their toolbox. DW has something to prove. Just talk to a drummer who actually plays DW Drums and ask about their top-of-the-line models... their "Collectors". You never or hardly ever, hear... "oh they sound (just) good." They never just sound "good," they are phenomenal, they attack, they sound gorgeous, etc etc.
Why will the guitars be $5000, because they will be worth it. They have to be for this investment made to be a success. Their name and reputation is on the line. While Ovation "has never gotten the respect they deserve" Drum Workshop has earned the respect they get. Their name stands for something and backing Ovation means something much deeper than "oh lets build guitars too."

Ovation is not going to threaten any company in the "sweet spot" of the market. Go into a GC and find an O in the 500-1500 range hanging with the other improrts. Nutin.
Ovation is not going to hurt Taylor or Martin with the 100 or so American guitars they are going to produce initially. There is just no visability to be a viable threat...not on TV, not in GC. They have a loyal niche. But that will become saturated at some point.
As far as $5K Adamas guitars. Unless it helps you earn your bread and butter...then I am guessing you are doing ok in life and I would probably like to work for you.
The re-birth of Ovation is a cool story. There is a helluva curve for it to overcome to return to the glory days. I am stuck in the cheap seats, but I enjoy watching and rooting for the home team.

I assume at some point early 2016 that DW will settle on their target market for USA made Ovation and what actual models will be offered. Certainly these will be limited in quantity (7 employees?) and the "boutique" end of the total Ovation WW catalog. I agree with Jay, the likes of Martin, Taylor and Takamine will not even notice. But who cares.
As with anything you re-invent or bring back from the dead, you need to make a big splash up front to get anyone to notice or even buy them. Hence the 50th Ann models. The are certainly not for everyone, either asthetically or financially. But it's the kind of opening act you need if you want anyone to stay for the whole show. I doubt this thread would be 6+ pages long if DW had simply re-introduced the same old Legend or some Glen Campbell rehash. And my wallet would have stayed firmly closed.
Specifically about the bearclaw adamas being road worthy ... who cares? I would not call this a stage guitar by a long shot. It's a collectors guitar for some one willing to throw $5k at DW and say THANKS for coming back and allowing me to buy a model that I have never been able to in the past and will probably never be able to in the future. Sure, it will depreciate by 50% in the first year. That's not the point.

That was weird.
What I *think* I read was that a limited edition guitar model which looked different, but which is definitely part of Ovation history, is of too limited appeal compared to something more standard... but that the company should simultaneously attempt to do things which attract and bring in new blood.
I'm not sure if the way to bring in new blood is to do the same thing as before.
Fortunately for any given person, no one is being forced to buy a limited availability collector's edition, let alone to purchase such a guitar specifically as one's road guitar.
As for my personal opinion about the appearance of that particular limited edition guitar... There have been some Collector's Editions from ovation which appealed to me, some which haven't. I don't really expect them to design all their guitars to my taste unless I'm funding all the research and design work prior to production.
Don't like it? Don't buy it. That always seems like a simple solution in my life, and really helps when I go grocery shopping in particular....

I'd like to note that, this BearClaw, while developed years and years ago, was never put into Production, it is a Prototype that has hung at the Mothership for visitors to see, play and admire along with many other Prototypes and Special Pieces.
So DW is not so much re-issuing a previous or existing marketed piece, as Issuing a never before produced piece of Ovation history. This will be Brand New to the Market, something you were not able to ever get before.
If you look at the News-casts, Articles, and Photos from the Announcement of DW buying Ovation, to the Re-Opening, in almost every release, there is Darren cradling that #23 BearClaw Prototype! LOL!!!

Don't count "young" folks out. There are many 20 somethings still playing real guitars, making authentic original music. I meet them all the time at the festivals I play. They may not have major label deals, but independents have vast avenues these days. The music business as we older pharts knew it is gone, but there's a brave new world for passionate innOvators. A ripe market for DW Ovation.

Through a local music store, I know three women in their 20s who invited me to see them play. It was pretty cool to see the guitarist and bassist playing on plugged-in Ovation acoustics.
These weren't new or top-of-the-line instruments, but they liked them for being workhorses.
Once they get more established, it would be cool to see such groups get approached by whatever will then be the current form of Ovation AR.
Especially since they already like Ovation, it would be nice if they wound up getting Ovation a little more visibility among the vastly underserved market of female rockers... and young girls who have aspirations of such. Melissa Etheridge and Kaki King are cool to have as examples, and it would be great to see Ovation starting to gain in the market currently courted mostly by Luna Guitars.
Anyway, I can see from a quick glance at the map that we have strayed greatly from the actual subject of this topic, ordering one of the 50th Anniversary models for oneself, so I'll let those with more money than I get on with it. Sorry for taking this conversation off-road for a spell!

If you look at many of the past threads here, you will see that each separate post is kind of like a river - as it flows along, there are splits, and tributaries, and other smaller rivers joining in. They get really moving, and very interesting to watch and join in!! So please, never feel bad about adding in, even if it is off the normal flow, these little off shoot trips are fun, and everyone usually learns something new!
They either do, or do not go back on subject, but the conversations are fun, and interesting!
I like the idea of Ovation helping the younger people get some exposure using their guitars, it would be beneficial for both parties!

I would think that they are getting the NAMM Guitars ready now, and any other new Introductions that will be shown, but still working on the 50th's in between times. I am sure they need to have the NAMM ones done in advance for pictures, ads, etc.
If we have a First Order Delivered Pool, I will go for Mid-March!
Is anyone here going to NAMM? Will you take pictures and share here, so we can see what is being shown??

Nancy, maybe you should start a new thread asking if anyone's going to NAMM. I don't mean to be anal about staying on topic, but someone who is going might be more likely to see the question if it's in a thread title.
We used to get good reports from members who went, but I don't know if that was true since the demise of Ovation. I'll have to do a search.

It would be a simple change, but on the regular black cases, where the Silver Ovation Logo is on the front, change it to be Gold for the 50th Anniversary Pieces.
