Despite all of the methods you can use to learn new notes on the fretboard, the best way is repetition.
Fret Pro takes the boring chore of memorizing and makes it fun.
Not only will you learn the notes on your guitar, but you will be able to name them in seconds!
It's a great tool for guitarists of all skill levels. Guitar Tips believes in this software so much that we want to provide it to you free of charge.

The author of the above prose encourages users to give this away to friends so I am passing it on. It is donationware which is self explanatory.
I think it is kinda cool and hope some of you find it useful.
Sorry Jeff :( , like most useful software it is PC only :p |

No, actualy it's months and months and months and months and months and more months of serious application, practice and study. THERE ARE NO SHORTCUTS. no matter what they may try to SELL YOU, that's how it is. Deal with it.
Naming notes is meaningless and pretty easy. Producing meaningful music is something else. |

Brits don't fare too well in the Florida sun.
Although the "entertainment-value" of such is priceless!
