This could be a good excuse for a road trip with a wagon packed with KMC's fine products.

Road trip sounds great Paul! I'm in. My Smart Fortwo doesn't fit many guitars. I should be able to wrangle free accommodation in Coffs Harbour.

We could take my Subaru wagon, it'll take more than a few guitars.

Coffs sounds like a good place to break the trip.

That is So Sweet Banjo! I am afraid that I would be *detained* leaving Australia. They would find little joeys, and cockatoos, tiels, King Parrots, platapus's, and all sorts of delightful critters in my suitcase and pockets, maybe a couple of brightly colored parrots disguised as Hair Decorations standing on top of my head! LOL!!! I would Love to visit Australia someday, I would love to hear the Aboringinals play a dingeridoo, and see their cave paintings too, so much to see and do down there! And I would love to hear you play one of your outdoor concerts!

They showed on the News last night where someone in Texas, had their EMUS get loose and were running down the streets. I was wondering if they were Beal's, and he was getting used to local wildlife before he went down on his trip! LOL!!! They were eventually herded into a yard and caught. LOL!!

I just have to deal with cattle and a long horn. He has to go, anyone want a long horn? This trip was 380,000 miles and even then I had to buy the US to Austrailia part. Once in a lifetime.

There are llamas and alpacas right down the street. They are getting ready for Cliff.

"It has more things that will kill you than anywhere else.

Of the world's ten most poisonous snakes, all are Australian. Five of its creatures - the funnel web spider, box jellyfish, blue-ringed octopus, paralysis tick, and stonefish - are the most lethal of their type in the world.

This is a country where even the fluffiest of caterpillars can lay you out with a toxic nip, where seashells will not just sting you but actually sometimes go for you.

... If you are not stung or pronged to death in some unexpected manner, you may be fatally chomped by sharks or crocodiles, or carried helplessly out to sea by irresistible currents, or left to stagger to an unhappy death in the baking outback. It's a tough place.”

Sometimes the hardest and harshest things in life are the most Beautiful, and make you feel the most Alive.

And Australia has some of the nicest people you would ever want to meet, the most stunning scenery, and the most colorful critters, it is a good balance!

Our State Fair is famous for having really odd food served on a stick (I don't know why...)
Last year they had Alligator on a Stick, it was a big hit - everyone said it tasted like Chicken!

Aussie and Cajuns would get along splendidly.
I was talking to locals in Baton Rouge LA and the subject turned to cooking Nutria...
When I expressed disdain for eating huge water rats I was told,
"We're Cajun... If we can Kill It, we'll Eat It."

Hey Fill.

I used to ski with a Canadian guy who worked in your forests in the summer. He was comfortable there with the bears and other huge wildlife that can tear you apart, but when he visited Australia with his Aussie wife, he was terrified in the bush (which is what we call forests) because there are so many sneaky little creatures that can kill you before you know anything's happened.

I guess I'm more comfortable with funnel web spiders than grizzly bears.

I loved Bill Bryson's book - a great read.

Here's a very topical news story from today. According to The Brisbane Times, 'A man has died and two others are in a stable condition after being bitten by venomous snakes across Queensland yesterday.' ... '954 people were admitted to hospital in Queensland in 2014 after being in contact with or bitten by a snake.'

If the snakes don't get you the sharks or Queensland beer will - or both.

I think Banjo is swinging by Richard's mansion and bringing him up.

Dave is looking at flights. I've offered to collect him from the airport and put him up for a few nights if he comes up early.

I'll be there.

Have you spoken to Andrew?  I think maybe we should arrange for Beal to see Wizz's workshop.

You + Beal + me + Richard + Banjo + Dave + Andrew = New Aussie record.

Teach Beal Goanna's Solid Rock or the Diamantina Drover, Eagle Rock - or anything by Paul Kelly!

Well for that matter: AC/DC, Easybeats, INXS, Jimmy Barnes/Cold Chisel, Diesel, Bee Gees, Little River Band, Richard Clapton, The Saints, Midnight Oil, Silverchair, Savage Garden, Australian Crawl, Men At Work, Hoodoo Gurus, Chain, Billy Thorpe, Skyhooks, Russell Morris, The Church, Nick Cave, The Go-Betweens, Normie Rowe, The Triffids, You Am You Am I, Hunters & Collectors, Regurgitator, Geoffrey Gurrumul Yunupingu, The Masters Apprentices, Vanda and Young, Johnny Young, Mental As Anything, The Models, Kids in the Kitchen, You Am I, The Cruel Sea, The Dingoes, Double Time, Rose Tattoo, Baby Animals, Jet, Parkway Drive, Wolfmother, Divinyls, Eurogliders, and Crowded House, Dragon - well the last two are sort of Kiwi bands that made good in Oz.

Ha ha...  Funny, you missed one of the only Aussie acts that I do play (well, he's really Scottish) - Colin Hay!

...and I used to do the Easybeats - Friday On My Mind, but it's got every bloody chord known to man in it.
