Thanks to all of you, and a stubborn streak a mile wide, I can now use the Drill like a PRO!!! Wood, Metal, Sheetrock, nothing scares me any more!!!!! I just wanted to Thank You all again for all help, suggestions, and patience! I have all of the Guitars (that are currently here) hung!!!
I still need to get new light fixtures, and some nicer furniture, but not until I know for sure what I want. I have a new TV, Comcast, and a separate laptop for the Cave for watching music video's, and I found the small Fridge I want. i am repainting the bedroom down there, then I am done!
I wanted to share my Babies out of their cases, and up where I can see and play them everyday! The new ones coming in will necessitate moving some around, but that is Fun too!
Anyway, Thanks you guys, you are THE BEST!!!!

Now that you've mastered the drill, you better start budgeting for more woodworking tools. That can be more expensive than guitars. |

I literally could not have done it without all your help and suggestions! I had been waiting 2 weeks to put up the 5 guitar String Swing Holder - my brother promised to come help. Got sick of waiting, so I read the instructions, and once I got one hole through the metal, took off and finished it in less than an hour!!!
If you are ever coming up to the Frozen Tundra, and want to come kick back in the Cave, let me know your Favorite Beverage and Pizza Flavor, and I will have them on hand! Hot Cocoa and Peppermint Schnapps are ALWAYS on hand during colder months! LOL!!! |

I KNOW!!!! MORE POWER!!!!! Muhahahaha!!
Now I know why guys never let their wives use their power-tools. Because if we ever got our hands on those, YOU guys would be running the vacuum and mixers, and WE would be using the chain saws and saws-alls!! LOL!!! I am getting quite the collection of good power tools. My Dad always said, "Get Good Tools and treat them right, and they will be there for you when you need them."
I would like eventually to get some nice woodworking tools, I would like to make my own handmade Rocking Horses. The Victorian Styled ones with the real manes and tails. |

LOL!!!! You weren't supposed to notice them! LOL!!!
I have an Emerald X-20, and a Takamine G330S. But because the Cave sign says "Ovations Only", I have another sign on order that says "Non-O's" to hang above that Section.
Thank you for the suggestion of the 5 Hanger, Standing, it really is nice, and you can fit more in a smaller amount of space!

Nancy. .. you must have quite a history with Ovations.
What's the story?
Not really Brad, I was taking lessons as a teen in St Paul at a Schmitt Music, and saw my first Ovation. I LOVED how unique it was, I grabbed it off the wall, and took it into the practice room and bought it immediately. It became my best friend, and It was always with me.
When we went to buy our first home, I had to sell my Ovation to help finance the house. I swore someday, I would get it back, or get another one. Got divorced 25 years later, and started living again, started doing everything I have always wanted to do, and guess what came up on the list???
Then I found you guys..............
The more I learn, the more I want to try what you guys are talking about. Plus, I inherited my Mother's bad habit of Collecting! LOL!!!! It becomes an obsession. But at least I have good taste in my bad habits! LOL!!! |

Anytime Banjo!!!!
Not incense, LOL!!! They are little bamboo sticks that the liquid scent comes up through, and releases a very gentle, light floral scent. My sister gave it to me! LOL!!! I remember burning incense, you could never get that smell out of your nose! LOL!!!

Wait.... MEN can use VACUUMS???? REALLY????
I was told that men could not use vacuums, washing machines and dryers, dishwashers, or anything in the house.... could I have been so deceived?????
I am really amazed and proud of the men who help in their households. My Dad never touched one thing in the house, and when my Mom passed away, he was clueless. He couldn't even run the microwave (seriously, not kidding) Ex was the same way.

Patch, my Brother said that he has a good camera, he is supposed to be bringing it over this morning. I asked him to get a couple good shots of it for me! My ipad just doesn't cut it...
I need you and/or Damon to come take some pictures of these Incredible Guitars - wait until you see what is coming in next week!
Then no more until next Spring again, I won't subject these Incredible pieces to the "Crack Curse" again. It is 25 here this morning, and I finally put on a sweatshirt, but shipping guitars up here in cold weather is too much of a crap-shoot.

Thank you Glen! All of the credit goes to the Guys here, who shared pictures of their Wonderful Caves, taught me about the Power Drill. Which screws are the best, pilot holes, clutch on the drill, and spacing measurements. Which hangers to use, and how to attach them all securely! This is a very Special Group of guys to take the time to teach a woman how to do all of this via the Internet, and from thousands of miles away! I feel this was a Group Project, and I learned allot, and had allot of fun! They were even extremely kind when I used the wrong terminology, and did not make me feel too much like an idiot! LOL!!!! GREAT Group here!!!

The Tak is signed by Toby Keith, it was a Guitar that was made for a Ford Dealership Giveaway, and Toby is one of their Spokesmen. It has Bolivian Rosewood back and sides, and a solid Cedar top.
The Odd Duck with the Markings (next to the Koa Celebrity) is a Spalted Maple Elite Celebrity. It has the most unique face I have ever seen! I LOVE Beautiful wood patterns, so I bought it, and it has really amazing sound! I bought it because it was so unique, but it plays Beautifully!! . I bought the Koa because it was so Beautiful too, and it sounds Fantastic too! That is a REALLY neat thing about Ovations, there are High End guitars, and Lower End guitars, but there is not a bad one in the Bunch!!! No matter what you spend, if you get an Ovation, you will get a Great Guitar!

Sadly, no basement and the rest of our house is full of my vacuum, washing machine and dishwasher collections. OK, not true, I don't really collect dishwashers, but the lack of available space means my only real option is to extend our house.

As learned on boat construction sometimes it is easier to blow things out versus suck it up.... open that outside door, hook up the hose to the out take and let rip. It is one h*** of a duster. Of course being a man it is possible I got things wrong.... |

LOL!!!! Why just go for a shop vac, when you can use a leaf blower????
I use my leaf blower all the time to clean my deck, and clean out the garage and barn (I use the BIG one in the barn), and thought "What a GREAT way to clean the bricks in the fireplace and the high textured ceilings, and beams!!" And it was!!!!
And I am STILL cleaning the dust out of the house!!! But by Gosh, my fireplace and ceilings look fantastic!!!! Power Lesson Learned... there is a reason our household power tools are not so powerful...
Maybe I need something a bit smaller, like the shop vac! Thank You Cavalier!! |

LOL!!!! It does sound like a good idea - it takes forever with a toothbrush on those! I use my poor dishwasher for my bird cages. The food and water cups, the perches, the ladders, and toys all go in the dishwasher, then I do the grates and the actual cages by hand, it saves me hours of hand washing, and they are all sanitized and clean! |
