We now return you to your regularly scheduled Ovation programming ... |

You can read my full review fo this one over on the Tak forum, if you're interested. Like Ovation, these upper shelf Taks are under appreciated and under valued. A similar Taylor or Martin would cost you double.

Seriously, gulfcoast is correct. For an extra $1500 or so you probably could get a "nice" Taylor. Whatever that means. |

Location: Phoenix AZ | Oh yeah, a nice partner. But it's not quite the top shelf of the 75. But very nice in its own right. I like the neck better than the 75. Any way you slice it, I don't think there's anything better for the money.

BUT...
Why does Tak put those dots at either end of the saddle?? I'd rather they not. |

Location: Phoenix AZ | Yeah, the dots cover up the access to the pickup mounting. It's kind of ugly. An old Dutch wooden shoe maker is fabricating some wood plugs that will replace the dots. One owner actually did a custom paint job of the dots. I thinkthe color is called 'sharpie black'.

Location: big island | it looks rather professional too! seriously. the way the sharpie ink colored the mother-of-plastic showing the slight textures looks very nice. it doesn't come out quite black and blends in with the bridge very well. |

Dave
PS - I have a note stuck inside the bowl. Says "To whom it may concern. If I am dead, please contact Schroeder ASAP." |
