Just got back from Anchorage, Mammoth Music still has some USA models in stock:
one LX, one Elite, one ME 6string, One VXT, and a hand full of WT Adamas customs. They still have that ugly Proto thing and a Celebrety double neck also.

FYI

Cheers

Tried to check via their website, but nothing comes up when you search for "Ovation."

Stange website - no guitars listed anywhere - not on the site I found using a Google search anyway...

ME = Melissa Ethridge Adamas (pretty much a W597). WT = Wood Top Adamas (as opposed to a wood top sandwiched between two bits of carbon fibre which is the usual Adamas formula).

What was custom about the WTs?

WHERE ARE THE PHOTOS YOU WERE SUPPOSED TO TAKE!!

Thanks TAFKAR.

I did ask Andy at MM to send me photos of the Adamas models. Here's what he sent:

At those prices, couldn't he send some better photos?

That was what I was thinking too. Also, why didn't he sent a photo of the proto Adamas?

The WT Adamas guitars were very, very nice. Surprised they are still available.

I've still got one on my lust list, but I'm 40% through paying off something else on that list. Thank DW that the Mothership is reopening, otherwise I'd be stressing about someone buying the few remaining ones.

I played the WT Adamas when they came through on the Road Show a few years back. It is a wood top guitar, just like an Ovation. But it has all the upgrades, making it a top of the line USA made guitar. Idk why they put Adamas on the headstock, as I would just call it the Ultimate Ovation. They sound as good as any modern LX deep body Ovation ever sounded.

I shoulda' bought one at the Road Show, as the price was roughly half of list. If you can afford whatever price they'll take on it now, and want the best of the best from the old factory, the WTA is the one to get.

A friend of mine shot a 2085WT these day for a very good price. Stunning guitar with killer sound. Does anybody knows how many were built of those.
I think these were only built a couple of month before closing the factory.
