Did David Cassidy actually play the guitar, or just pretend?

True - Ace is cooler than David Cassidy. I was just remembering being a little kid and watching that show. Not knowing anything about guitars, its fun seeing he had such a cool one.

Tafkar: David did really play guitar and sing, but probably not on those tracks. Those tracks are, most likely the "Wrecking Crew" - a bunch of studio musicians who did  basically every track in LA in the 1960's and 1970's.

Speaking of cool, there's a photo out there of Kim Gordon playing a Breadwinner Bass. Now that's cool!

David and Shirley did sing on the tracks... but, yes, it was the Wrecking Crew playing. My friend and musical father Billy Strange got a gold record for "I Think I Love You". Hangs in my office.
