Location: Ontario Canada		hi has anyone used a walk up guitar stand for an Ovation?
if so can you offer up some info on a good one?
not to crazy about this plastic looking one, that runs through it and connects to the strap pegs.
has anyone seen a more sturdy one like the second picture?
would be nice if Ovation made proper stands to hold there own instruments!

Here is a video of the plastic Mbrace stand.
The guy noodles on the guitar until 1:22...


So, the plastic on will actually work. and it is light to carry.

Location: Phoenix AZ		The best ones I saw were those used by Jon Camp and Mike Dunford. They were built out of actual Ovation bowls. The upper part of the bowl was cut off and the bottom edge of the bowl had a lip. So you just basically cradled the guitar in there all nice an snug .. bowl within a bowl so to speak. The bottom was bonded to a heavy duty stand at just the right spot to balance the guitar correctly. The bottom of the stand was firmly affixed with sheet of black plywood upon which all the other pedals, etc were mounted.

Location: undisclosed		Alex Lifeson designed one years ago. You could get an attachment for a regular guitar or one for a Ovation.

Location: NJ		The company that used to make Ovation-specific Stands was Gracy(or Gracey).
Don'tKnow if they still exist.
