it sounds good, but i have a feeling that this guitar is very stiff, ain't it?

I haven't thought about it as stiff, but you may be right in the sense that the neck block is large due to the adjustable neck joint, so the construction is a more rigid than a normal neck joint. In combination with a very light braced top, it at least gives a lot of sustain.

maybe i didn't articulate my thoughts clearly.
As stiff i understand "toughter to play", like -> on medium tension strings You have a feeling that you play hard tension strings or so, because on some notes it sounds like they weren't nailed hard enough and listening to your playing i don't think it's because of Your error. Btw - very nice playing.

Ok, then we understand eachother. Yes, the strings are probably mediums, and when recording this I did focus on playing cleanly, and letting the tone ring out, and I use only bare fingers when fingerpicking, so the attack may be a bit soft at some spots. Still think that the big mahogany chunk at the neck joint may add sustain though.
