Hi there,

Does anyone know where I can find a suitable replacement for the gain pot for OP-X pre-amp please?

I have one here that has a loose stem, so the slightest touch and it disconnects leaving no sound . . .touch again sound back. Frustrating for it's owner.

TIA

Trevor

There are people here who know how to solder little tiny things on a circuit board...
I ain't one of them, but one of them may be along soon.
A clumsy person like me would just look for a whole OP-X preamp.
Or an Optima preamp, which I believe would fit in the same spot.
I am not positive, but I think that an OP-24, OP-24+, or a FET-3 would also fit in the same hole.

Anyway... I would just get another preamp.

Haha thanks but it's not my guitar and not an option for the owner to buy another preamp.

Cheers,

Call the "Mini-MotherShip" repair shop... maybe they can give you an answer.

Thanks for that advice. Is that your company? Or if not are they members here? I live in New Zealand so I'd rather chat with them online if possible.

Cheers,

No, that is the Ovation Repair Shop.
It is just much smaller now that the Ovation Factory is closed.
You can read about that HERE
