Location: Louisville, OH 44641 | There aren't very many FD-14's out there and this one is in pristine condition. This was the guitar I thought was going to help me learn finger picking. Unfortunately, it's been an exercise in frustration rather than music for me. So I haven't been playing it very much. Comes with a nice Ovation case as well. Price = $1475 + 1/2 of shipping fees (about $25). See the attached photos and let me know if you're interested.
Thanks.

If I had any regrets out of all of the 1537s , CL's, etc sold over the years, the FUD is probably the one I should have kept.
Very reasonable asking price. |

Location: Muenster/Germany | My only chance to survive is to let one guitar go if I go for a new one. This is another wonderful instrument at a very reasonable price, but can anyone give me an advice which of mine I should give up? Sometimes it was very hard to decide. |

And about my ´82 collector...this guitar was recently extensively re-built by John Budny and looks like new, plays and feels great, I love the sound of the old A-braced guitars. If I would give this away I surely would go for an old custom legend soon, I´m sure.

Location: Munich, Germany | Well, the decision is very easy:
Do you have a slothead Ovation already? No.
Do you have a 1 3/4 neck Ovation already? No.
Do you have a natural top Ovation already? Probably, but let's say: No.
Do you have one with a tortoise rosette and very special binding? No.
Do you... No!
That's how I always ask myself before adding a new guitar to the herd, and it always helps to let me buy it. Without letting another one go.
Best regards,
Kurt |

Hmmm,
Yes (3)
Yes (Same 3)
Does an Al Pep Koa count? Technically it is a natural top.
Yes (That Koa again).
Can I get this past SWMBO? Not right now.
Stop teasing me. Somebody buy this already. |

Location: Louisville, OH 44641 | Stephent, I know you're right about that. Still, let me try to make this as painless as possible for our OFC members. I know there are several that are on the fence. Let me offer it up this way:
- Make 3 payments (1 per month) of $492
- This totals $1476
- I'll pack your FD-14 away and never play it again after I receive your first payment
- I'll pick up the shipping in the Continental US
- Overseas and Canadian shipments will have to be quoted.
That's as easy as I can make it for our members. This is the type of guitar you can't just give away but you can make it a little bit easier to buy.

I would like to sell my FD14, but will probably keep it.
They seem to be difficult to move for such a stellar instrument. |

Donation made to the OFC. |

Location: Pittsburgh | Well, you beat me to the punch, Jim. I really enjoyed our time together, and I very much appreciated your gracious hospitality. And those guitars!
I'm making a donation to the OFC as well. Without you folks, I doubt I would have known that the FD14 even existed! It's the perfect guitar for me. I told me wife that if we ever had the money to have a custom built it would have had the FD14's specs. Now that's unnecessary.
That said, I'd love to know what prompted Ovation to do that limited run. Can anyone shed some light on that?
